It's not cheap and it doesn't cover the things the earthquakes destroy like chimneys, block walls, cracked stucco, etc...
At least it didn't last time I checked into it

The "summer home" is only 45 minutes away, not like in another state or across the country, but 45 minutes away? It must be so hard to take 2 hours out of the day to check on the "main home", you know, having to wait for the Tesla to charge and all....

Not cheap and the deductable is staggering, like 10% of insured value.

I lost 130' of block walls in the 94 quake, to replace that again would be painful.

Areas of Ventura County tend to shake a bunch during a quake. We lived in Camarillo during the Northridge quake. Fillmore took a significant hit from that one.

Back in like 2011 I was renting a room to an Asian chick. She was scared the tsunami from Japan could reach California and kill us.

My house was in hesperia at almost 4,000’ elevation. She didn’t understand the ocean would have to rise a couple feet to reach us lol.
