Just picked up my little Hallett 18 Mini Cruiser today. They absolutely killed it. Steve and crew did a great job. I went with simple colors and one pin stripe. Had a lot of wood and floor repair and glass work. Then they filled a ton of holes, and completely capped it. They also sprayed gel on the inside of the transom and bilge area. The intent is to somewhat match my 270T. I didn't do all the colors and stripes like the 270, but just enough to be close.

Turned out great....I saw it at the color sanding stage.

Glad you are happy with the finished product... can’t wait to see her in the water! [emoji41]

That's some VERY impressive work . . . I've done a fair amount of gel coat repair, patch, spray etc. But nothing NEARLY on that scale.
Somebody has some serious talent, that shit ain't easy.

We have a Howard in for touch up right now... if I haven’t gotten back to you I apologize. We had a bottle neck of boats on the schedule.

This Howard was supposed to be in a couple a weeks ago.

Just finished up this Daytona. 1/2 cap and removed/added some stripes to the gel scheme.

We are booked into august. We are going to stay away from 26’ and up full regels. Any minor repairs to gel work from dock rash etc... we will take care of.

We will take on larger scale gel work on 21-22’ and smaller boats moving forward(schiada, vectors etc...)

How about 2 main stingers and transom replacement on a 21'eliminator closed bow cruiser? Some time around oct/Nov. This yr.? Is that a project you would take on?1

Possibly. It really depends on what we have to work with. It gets labor intensive ($$$$$) if everything we are tying into is hammered. Send me pics and I can tell you if we’d do it.

My 21RC is going in at the end of next week [emoji16]

You are one of three schiadas lined up. Then we have three or four vectors and a Rayson I think? One of those besides the Rayson is a full regel...

What are you getting done?
Holes filled in where the Windshield & Bimini brackets were mounted, engine hatch rash and that will probably require the entire top to be sprayed.

Gel stripes re-directed with a color change mid upper deck (since were spraying the top) as well as the sides of the hull to update the boat and cover some faded gel.

Transom needs to be sprayed older plumbing holes were filled as well as a poor repair needs to be sprayed to match.

Everything else is in great shape with zero stress cracks the boats hr meter shows 162.7 hrs total that's a shit ton of hrs for a Schiada's lifetime

The latest out of the Vossmeyer shop. Some of you may remember my '74 Southwind. Well, after 47 years it was time to get her re-gelled. Steve and Lelo (sp) did a fantastic job...

Well shoot!! The work they were putting out was really nice!! Damn! Back to the drawing board.... Thanks for the update! 👍
If you are just looking for basic patch and repair, I can help. If you are looking for a full re gel, then I'm not your guy.

Thank you I appreciate it Manxman!! I've gotta finish bedding two more stringers, a fresh bulkhead and finish up some other misc. glass work......then I'll be ready for some balsa touches and a complete re-gel. I will most likely go with a single color gel when the time comes (Red). I'll need to flip the boat and have the bottom, sides and top all done, along with the interior surfaces that will be visible. I was really hoping Hammer's guys could handle it as they were local here in SoCal, and it would have been cool to support them and their crew.

I'm in San Marcos, 92069, and can handle more of the heavy duty stuff. We are more of an industrial fiberglass shop. We can do basic gelcoat finish work, but My guys are not super detailed with color matches and finishing. https://www.fiberreinforcedproduct.com/

My goal is to get all of the structural stuff done here at my place, and get the hull to the point where it just needs gel coat. I'd like to do a partial rigging to get things fitted, then disassemble it all and drag the hull to a shop for the final bodywork and gelcoat. I don't know if that's something you guys would be willing to do. I was planning on taking this to Hammer's guys. Super-bummed they stopped doing this kind of work. 😢
