Fingers crossed everyone. Now that the super-scoopers are here will they be able to assist?
They are an la county fire resource. La county pays for them. I do not know if they are available for mutual aid.
Vegas is chocked out by the smoke, i seen some pics on the news, it was bad. Did anyone see the new Storm Tracker Rig with Doppler Radar from NBC4 news? It was up in Hesperia trackin the smoke plume. Nice Rig, had LED light bars on it, so you know its Bitchin. :yikes
I'm near the Mesa on a hill, and from my vantage point, it looks to be heading north. But, it still seems to be east of the Mojave river. The wind is picking up and the smoke is pretty heavy. Can anyone in the Hesperia/oak hills area see where the fire is heading? My parents house is in the evac area in Hesperia and they aren't home right now.
Any idea how far north it has gotten? Hard to tell with all the smoke.Hesperia winds, Be Advised:
