Anyone have any info I can see the smoke from hemet looks like it’s burning pretty good
There’s some high dollar homes in that area. Hope everyone makes it out ok!
Hope it stays going the opposite direction.I live off Tenaja rd. It’s pushing pretty hard, reports are that it’s spotting 1/4 mile in front of itself. Last acreage was 400 but I’m guessing it’s a lot more. It’s moving toward Ortega. Thankfully, There arent alot of homes in that direction. There’s a bunch of aircraft enroute but the smoke is making visibility difficult. I’m at work right now so my info is second hand

That was the Tenaja Fire, 2 years ago Next month. It burned the west side of the Pleateau/Preserve area, all the way down to Copper canyon area. . This started back by Tenaja Falls, off the Forest Service road that ties into Ortega. Incidentally, we were at a fund raising dinner last weekend to raise money for the Preserve that was damaged by the Tenaja Fire. It was held at Liberty Oaks Ranch, and I heard the fire is bumping the ranch now.I live pretty close to Cole Canyon Elementary, we are watching it. Its close to us.
That entire area burned a few years ago, so there shouldnt be alot of fuel for it.
I live off Calle DeOso Oro in Copper Canyon… Tenaja fire took out the entire mountains behind us.That was the Tenaja Fire, 2 years ago Next month. Well here's what I can find regarding how the Chaparral Fire looks at almost 9AM Sunday.
From the Cam --- No wind, a few hot spots kicking off --- where's the damned tankers ????????????? Fire Fighting on a budget it would seem.

So, one Bronco doing loops --- accessing, but not a single tanker in the area or even flying, no helos dropping water --- guess it's a wrap folks.
Look again. Two tankers right now.
Have not seen any major updates fire must almost be out
