La Venidita? The line is the worst part. Gold mine for the owner. Try Numero Uno grocery store on Carson by my house. Usually on special Sunday. They also have bomb marinated Franklin ribs.

In Parker food city. We tried them all same day when I had a taco party.
Yep! Love that place. We buy 10-12 pounds at a time at work i hate to when its my turn to go.

I use to buy 20lbs all the time in HS for ditch day pool parties. $1.79 a lb. 20 lbs, tortillas, salsa and guacamole was around $50.

Was at a party recently and they grabbed 20lbs over $350. It was good though.

The special at Redondo Beach Brewing. If you want Asada. Stuffed Pasilla pepper. Order the corn for a appetizer. I know a few eat there. @weasle . One of the Girls from Echo works there.

Yeah
Havasu doesn’t have anything near decent asada.
Either make your own or bring from so cal.
I have several great spots in Guada La Habra to pick from.
Been looking for some good asada and la habra is close which places you recommend there ?

I don't even buy good ass steaks for $18 a pound...some of you guys are high. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

It reminds me of some online chefs who claim to make “authentic” recipes for things like carne asada, or Vietnamese pho…then you look at the ingredients list and it’s a mile long and full of exotic shit no one has ever heard of.

These are regional comfort/street foods created in poor-ass countries, that are simple to make, with inexpensive basic ingredients.

Budget king in Corona is still about $14 a pound. Still the best carne asada I have found in a while. Especially their orange marinade. Plus their peppered short ribs are the best!

Sam's club flap meat and some seasoning and you have the same product for much less.
For some reason, inviting people over for "Sams Club flap meat" just doesn't have the same appeal

Just get some cheap flank steak, rootbeer, OJ, and a pouch of those mexican spices and make your own. Lots of good recipes out there..........

Go to Smiths and have them marinade it in “Chef Merito”, the best EVER!, they are the only ones in town that carry the marinade.

I was just at Sam’s club and last time I bought a pack of baby back ribs a few months ago it was around $22, today it was over $40 for the same pack. 10 pound pork butts that were $12, now they’re $18 - $20. Thanks to Grads and his ilk we’re now taking it in the ass on everyday items across the board.

Redlands Ranch Market. The carne there is awesome and they make fresh tortillas.

Staters sucks, I tried it one time, it was like flavorless shoe leather.

Yep, was just there. Prime filets are now 25.99 lb. Last year they were 17.99 or 18.99.

Went into the local Havasu Carniceria on LH Blvd by HotLaps Marine, best carne around in my opinion, especially the hot New Mexico version. Didn't look at the price, been there a ton of times before, I just told the guy I will take 3 pounds. Cashier rings me up, that will be $54. What the hell, its $16.99 a pound, used to be $8 or so and I always thought that was expensive but damn the stuff is good, $17 a pound is getting ridiculous.
I bought some at Smiths recently. I thought it was every bit as good as the place by Hot Laps and cheaper. They’re apparently very proud of their carne asada.
