First trip with the Genesis

Picked up this new Genesis after the Audi just got totaled after being in the shop since January. So much nicer than the Audi or Range Rover we were renting.

It’s got a Porsche rear end design and a Bentley front end. The interior options are something you won’t find in a lot of cars. Price point, excellent.

It’s weird, you can make the sound of the car louder inside even though the sound outside never changes. Something to do with the car sound coming through the speakers

You mind giving a rough estimate of the out the door price on this? Definitely looks like a Porsche Cayenne from the sides and rear.

I believe it was 59k. All options you could possibly want

They’re definitely different but i didn’t want the basic 18s that came with the mid level trim.

You don’t go through a Hyundai dealer for these. You need to visit a Genesis dealer. Figuring it’s something like getting a caddy from a caddy dealer in lieu of a gm dealer.

One does now. It has a touch of red paint on it from the wife going to the post office. In person i don’t really mind it.

I think it has a very unique look. I bet the fit and finish is pretty comparable to the German kind.

When we were trying to buy a GV80 all of the Genesis dealers we went to were also Hyundai shops. Shame those particular dealers turned us away, they are some badass cars and glad you had better dealer experience than we did.

AFA Genesis it is a separate brand now, within the Hyundai conglomerate. Started out as a Hyundai model and they've spun it off into its own line.

I understand they do come with the 10 year/100k powertrain warranty. All the auto press love them and say they are better cars than the Germans. That warranty is huge for a luxury brand.
