How are you securing the floor to the side of the stringers? If your replacing all that wood, I'd replace it ahead of the dash as well. You will have templates from the old ones. Might as well have it all new a that point.

Hello, I am not sure 30 degress is enough? I think when you have a joint like that the taper should be a 8 to 1 ratio. west systems has good info on there web site. What kind ok resin are you using? I just installed new floors in by boat and after doing some reserach i found taht is worth the extar money for a epoxy resin like west systems.

Im going to be using polyester resin. did they have expoy resin back when they built the boats and did they vacume laminite the glass?

I've been following your project on v-driveboat as well. :thumbsup
Be sure to support the bottom so it doesn't sag and give you toooooo much rocker. I used steel angle bolted to the bottom to control the bottom shape You may have to install a 2X4 or 4X4 using the fin bolt holes to retain the veeee. Place blocks at the chines. I overlayed the floors on a Lavey Craft with Balsa Core. I am now ready to install the new stringers, (4), in a 17' 1962 Sanger.
