Flatty at Lake Mead Village

Saw a covered Flatty (blown w/ a wing, drag boat?) at one of the front row trailers. Is this someone here?

I was wondering where you might launch and if you get hassled by LEO for noise.

I can?t see dragging it out of Hemenway at 6am, doing a few passes without getting harassed; I was watching them light up the fishing boats while having my coffee. And you can?t get that far from the trailer, the buoys are a long way to paddle, just trying to figure out how this would work.

That boat belongs to my neighbor up there. We usually take our Flatty's out a couple times a year. We just go talk to the Rangers and tell them what we're doing. We also take a chase Boat so we can tow them out past 5MPH zone. It's going to be hard this year with the other launch ramp closed.

The Rangers for the most part are real cool about the hot rod boats
just show respect towards them and be safe about the speed passes
and if you ever get a chance to give one a ride your in,

as long as im no waking it they just waive to me! i got over transom headers with no baffles or water...havent had a single problem yet, been doing this for 4 years now
