Has anyone every flown private from LHC to OC? My buddy is looking to charter a flight in September for 6 of us to fly back on Monday September 20th. It would be a one way flight. Any recommendations?

Thanks,

SHEP

Even though it's a one way flight for you, it'll be a round trip for the plane...

Neighbors have net jets, $14,000 a month membership dues plus fuel, OC to Havasu was close to $5000 in fuel since you burn so much on take off, and you pay for the jet to go back. Upside is as a member you are guaranteed a jet anywhere in the world to get you in 4 hours or less.

There are two king airs for charter in Havasu. Their prices are probably a lot better than companies in Socal..

We need to put a group of RDP members together and buy a Cessna Grand Caravan EX. It could be operated for around 1,500 per hour out of Havasu. 14 passenger capacity, would give a very low cost per person. #RDPAIR

There's plenty of pilot's in Havasu and that is included in the 1,500.00 per hour. I know one of the pilots flying charter out of Havasu. He flew for continental for 25 years and retired in Havasu. He fly's the two King air's and a Cirrus on charter multiple times a week.

Man, JSX is looking cheap to me now. No wonder I fly that carrier a lot.

right now, the pilot i know its $3800 one way in a king air from havasu to chino
I don’t have that kind of money, but that really doesn’t sound like too bad of a deal. Especially if you have a few people going in on the deal together.

My biggest problem is I’d have to buy a 5 seat plane minimum just to haul my family around..

The guy I bought my Laveycraft from had a dialed program. He would fly his helicopter from his Redlands home driveway to Havasu airport and back. I think he said it took about an hour and a half.
