We were 272 miles from St Anthony’s and the truck went into Regen and never came out.
Check engine light came on and we went into walk mode.

Was still able to maintain 70 hauling the TH all the way to the dunes.
Appointment tomorrow at St Anthony GMC.

Service writer said they get real clogged up and won’t clean on the normal Regen cycle so they’ll force Regen it.

Is their a fix out there to prevent or cure this from happening?

A couple drove up and are experiencing the same thing and they too have an appt at GMC tomorrow.

Banks may have a solution with their iDash or Derringer. I believe you have the ability to perform a forced regen but I seem to remember a lot of info regarding why you may not want to do a forced regen....at least not often

check the site or call them for more info

If you live anywhere outside of CA you can likely just gut the whole DPF / DEF setup, its a disaster anyways. You'll need to get a tune to inform the computer you're not playing that game any longer. While youre at it i'd also bypass the EGR and PCV setup.
