Coming in November.
I really like Christian Bale.
Matt Damon, meh.
Could be really good, or they could eff it up with CGI.
I'll see it big screen either way.

I wondered why they were waving the green flag at Indy....

I was looking forward to that story being told - not so much now.

‘Ford V. Ferrari’ Trailer: Matt Damon And Christian Bale Rev Their Engines In Race Car Rivalry Feature
June 2, 2019 6:14pm

Matt Damon and Christian Bale have the need for speed in the first trailer for 20th Century Fox’s Ford v. Ferrari. In the first look at the film, we see Damon as a visionary American car designer and Bale — using his real accent (I think) — as the fearless British-born driver Kevin Miles as they try to build a car to take on Enzo Ferrari.

Based on a true story and directed by James Mangold, the story follows Shelby and Miles, who battled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal demons to create a revolutionary race car for Ford Motor Company to compete with Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966. The trailer shows the racing (no pun intended) adrenaline as the two team to achieve the unachievable.

Bale and Damon star alongside an impressive cast that includes Jon Bernthal, Caitriona Balfe, Tracy Letts, Josh Lucas, Noah Rupe, Remo Girone and Ray McKinnon. The film will be released on November 15 by The Walt Disney Studios.

"Go to war"

I'm not a Matt Damon fan - he's about as good an actor as Keanu Reeves and that's not saying much for "acting" but hopefully Christian Bale will carry Damon's ass

One of my friends was there in the beginning. I've suggested to RD that he might do an interview with Ted Sutton while he's still with us.

Pink Taco has been dragging Ted around to different functions the past couple of years and has taken some great photos of the cars and people.

I'm stoked, and kind of amazed a major studio is doing a movie about this story. They've already got my money.

If you want to tune up for the movie and have not read “Go Like Hell” I highly recommend you do so.

My best friends dad was the crew chief on the #2 car. Sadly both my friend and his father, Max Kelley both have passed. I have a copy of Max's job resume. His references are a list of his racing accomplishments that's pretty impressive.

To say the least my time with Ted has been an amazing history lesson. He is honestly better than any book to talk to. He was there from the start. Built the first 427 cobra. Did all the fabrication on the original GT 350 R. Built his own airplane. The list goes on. All the old school Shelby guys I’ve met are straight up characters.

Great pix Tom!

I would like to take this time to thank you for taking care of Ted and driving him to his different functions. You're a good man Tom. :)
