Hey guys, is there anywhere other than pirates to get fuel on the water between Havasu and Laughlin? Or in Laughlin itself?

I don't think we can make it from Pirates up to Laughlin and back without bringing some fuel and just wanted to see if anyone that knows that area better has a good option :)

Thanks!

Avi casino has fuel. Not sure if they are open right now though.

Last i saw the Avi was still closed, but worse case scenario, and it’s a crappy one but feasible, take a gas can and can walk up to the gas station at the Avi as it is open.

Was a place across from Pioneer with a gas dock, but i believe it shut down a few years ago.

We got stuck doing this one time. We did Windsor to Laughlin, ran out of gas at Avi on the way back only to find out the fuel dock had closed for the day. Fortunately, the security guard shuttled me across the parking lot in his golf cart 3-4 times until we had enough fuel to get back to Havasu.

The ride was long even in his golf cart. Looking at the map its 1/4mile each way, certainly not a distance I would want to walk repeatedly.

I would consider this chevron station if you get desperate, its only 600 feet from the river. 1626 AZ-95, Bullhead City, AZ 86442

I’ve never mentally checked the distance but you’re probably right about the 1/4 mile, it’s all the same property is why it pops into my head tho. But yea 5 gallon can would be real F’in heavy about half way back lol.

What kind of boat? FWIW my brother, 2 kids, and I took 21' jet boat from Windsor to the last bend in the river before AVI and back on 50 gallons. RPMs were 3100 the whole way.

Thanks guys. Much appreciated for the info.
We’re taking jet skis so range is an issue :)

Andy01 and I did this ride on Ski’s a few years ago. Went from The Springs up past Avi. Wanted to go up to Laughlin, wasn’t sure if there was gas to be had up there.
Was a BLAST! expensive as F though... we were hauling butt, used a ton of fuel.

So don't you burn more gas than normal going up from Havasu (into the current) but save more gas than normal going down from Laughlin (going with the current)? Does that equal out the normal mileage one gets on a tank (or tanks) of fuel in their boat?

So if you use 1/2 a tank going up, do you only use a 1/4 tank going back down?

Looks to be 35 miles each way

35 miles between Needles and Laughlin, 17 miles between Devil’s Elbow to Needles.

The River will be nearly drained today, to attempt to eradicate Caddisfly larvae.

Today is ideal, you won’t be able to use much fuel.......... as the saying about Parker goes...... The River is Closed

Just turn it off and float back? The current is strong enough to float you back. I usually go up to the last houses passed the bridge turn it off and it floats me back to needles marina.
