I assume it's the original from 1979. 40 years. Not bad.

My question is: Do I even need this thing? Can I just install a 3/8" brass tee and draw from both tanks? Do they even make these anymore?

This is good for a manual option, can run individual or both tanks.

I like the option of manually running either or both...and within arms reach. The only other manual valves I could find were rough brass type designed to be mounted out of sight like under the transom--which would be a pain in the ass to do.

I have the pictures valve for the tanks and a plain Jane brass valve for the return lines.
