It’s Summers sixth birthday.. So I brought the family to Vegas last night and our plan was to hit the water park today and then the big arcade at the Excalibur tonight..

We got up this morning and Summer pillow looked like a f’n murder scene. She woke up and her eyelid was split (what in the??).

She says she doesn’t know how it happened and it doesn’t hurt. I think she might fell off the bed in her sleep and hit the nightstand? I don’t know.

I don’t think it is a good idea to go to some water park that I’m already suspicious about the water with an open wound.. we tried to close it with liquid skin etc but honestly this thing is pretty big and deep.

mom deathly afraid if we Goto the Water park it’s gonna get infected or worse..

What do you guys think? Am I being paranoid?

second question.. What is fun for kids in Vegas? I have to change the plans on the fly here..

Definitely wouldn't trust the water park with a wound like that.... Bummer for sure!

I loved Circus Circus as a kid, but not sure what it's like with all this Covid crap.

NO on the water park for sure. There's lots for kids to do in Vegas. I would look for another form of entertainment. Poor Summer...

Water tight bandage (Walgreens or CVS) has been effective recently when my wife had an open knee wound and wanted to use the hotel pool. Hope she feels better

Sutures needed? If so, suture and then watertight bandage with lots of Neosporin on it and you should be good. She’ll have a sweet looking tan line!!!

If it’s too close to eyebrow, I’d probably just pass on the water park for this trip.

Yeah, just looked at the pic again... you don’t want her to be a “unibrow”. I’d pass.

You can have her shoot a machine gun but you'll pay tourist prices lol. Be a cool pic, if they let her take the handles of a 50 cal

Water parks + open wounds = NFW

Been there done that and have the T-shirt to prove it with my daughter. She came really close to being admitted to the hospital after a cut got infected at the pool.

There is an aquarium at Mandalay Bay, not huge but a fun way to kill an hour or so.

My kids LOVE the treehouse/fort thing in the middle of the container park downtown on Freemont street. You can sit at the bar and drink while they play in the treehouse/jungle gym/fort thingy.

My kids always enjoy the coke store and m&m factory, but I dont know why. I think they like the idea of it more than the actual store.

The shark reef aquariaum thing at mandalay is cool.

Red Rock Canyon is an easy drive. You drive a big loop. Stop a few times and look at some impressive rock formations. Not much walking for dads ankle.

You could walk Fremont experience with the kids, mob museum if it’s open, they may like the stratosphere tower or container park I’ve never been so don’t know if the kids would like it

Hit up Town Square, it's right by the airport. They have a Gameworks (which has a bar), and it's an open mall for shopping. They have a Yardhouse and several other places to eat.

If you end up downtown eat at Carson Kitchen, food is amazing. Anytime I have family come into town we take them there, never a single complaint.

Surprising good actually... Lots of history
Been 3 times myself. It’s nice because they switch out some exhibits so it’s not the same every time. If I lived there I would become a member and also attend the guest speaker talks. They had some clothing from the Sopranos last time I was there too.

Call the concierge at the hotel explain the situation and see if there are any shows that would be appropriate for her age tonight.

Circus circus is crazy fun for kids.. they were originally saying they wouldn’t like it.. as soon as we hit midway they are having the time of their life. Honestly GREAT FAMILY FUN! The kids loved the performances in between games as well with the juggling and other circus acts.
