I'm in the early stages of planning a garage. Question for the mass is which layout would be preferred and why?

I say 30x61.........if not then 25wx61......Most mohomes are pushing 45 overall. Don't want to cut yourself short, if you decide to move later.....

25 with 2 10' doors. 30 is to narrow for 3 doors.

25 x 61 is more sf, so I'd go that route. Make it work for what you need, but more sf > less sf.

Looking for double drive through. Park the truck and boat and walk away is the idea. Use the other side for hoist and other vehicles. Would like to add a lean to and create a patio down the road..

25 vs 30 ft width isnt going to do too much for you as far as room for parking things. 25 is enough to park 2 boats side by side and not be cramped, plus you can install one 20 ft wide door. The extra lemgth from 45 to 61 ft might make a big difference. I went 25 x 51 x 16 and am happy, but could use 10 more feet.

Comsider 16 ft ceilings so you can imstall a 14 ft tall door and park almost anything you want to imside.

It will never be big enough..
You have to at least go 15' ceiling and have a min. 14' garage door.
Depending on what you plan to do 61' deep will let most boats and leave the truck hooked up.
Go as big as you can is what I found out.. Unfortunately I did 12' door
, and should have gone 10' more width at least and 5' longer.
Cant change it now.
go big or learn to go big...
