I’ve got an EZ-GO with the 297 cc Robin engine. I think it’s a 2001, and it still runs great. Mine has a hitch on it and I use it to move my double axle 22’ flatbed trailer around my driveway and street. Parts are easily available from Buggies Unlimited.

You honestly can't go wrong with a gas cart from any of the big three: EZGO, Club Car or Yamaha. I'm not a fan of lifted Yamaha's because they become very top heavy with the way their suspension is. There is plenty of clutch spring upgrades you can do if you need additional torque. Gear change is fairly simple also.
Good luck finding anything on the used market right now.

Ez-Go gas with 295 Robin. I also use mine to tow my 20ft flatbed trailer around my street and in my driveway. Simple to maintain and parts are easily available. Don’t buy parts off EBay, they are shit. Buggies Unlimited is a little more expensive, but way better quality.

I have a Yamaha Gas Golf cart at my hangar at Van Nuys airport.
Runs and looks great, has mag wheels new tires and hitch front and rear.
I would sell it for $3,500. It is red, has windshield and top and rear seat that turns into a pick up bed.
I will get pictures next time I am at the airport.

Ezgo with a 295 Robin. Only issues I had where all do to fuel sitting to long. Quick clean of the carb and good to go.

Any chance it’s plated?

Sorry, license plate. I need a street legal cart for Catalina. My daughters cart is DOA.
Thats interesting because I own a 1998 Yamaha G16 Gas that came off Catalina so the owners could import a new one. The Conservancy is real strict.

I don't need a plated cart but its basically impossible to have the plate removed so I have to keep insurance and the tags are $140 a year in CA.

From Rags to well better than rags. Not much help to your issue though.

Yes the island has its rules. I’m finding out that(I think) that I can’t bring another gas cart onto the island. They need to be electric if new.

Electric carts are fine as long as they are able to be charged. Some of those folks have to park wherever they can.
A house over there with an ample driveway is a bit rare.
