Gas lamp District Where to stay

I was watching Bar Rescue and saw an episode on the Gaslamp. Looking for something walking distance to the area. I have never been to San Diego, wife has on business.

We have stayed in a few different places and like trying new places but if I had to pick one I would say Omni is a good middle of price for quality.

Few blocks over in little Italy is my recommendation. I can look up the hotel if needed. Don't forget reservations at Born and raised steak house.

Hard rock is a good place and you can find deals for them. Pool area is small

Bigger pool and more of a resort feel we like the Marriott marquis for the pool area and it’s a short walk to Morton’s. Make sure you ask for bay view if you like water if you get city view get the highest floor possible. Make sure you ask for a balcony room it’s worth it!

no info on where to stay in the area, but @NicPaus is dead on with his born and raised steak house.

I prefer the Solamar. Nice hotel, pool/bar on the 4th floor. In an area where they keep the homeless in check. There’s a Hilton close by that i like. The other one is nicer but harder to walk everywhere.

We stay a couple blocks away at the Guild. The price and location and history is right.
