Cost of having fun. While I'm not thrilled about gas prices, at the end of the day, IDGAF how much it costs, I'm still gonna buy it when I want to play with my toys. Hoping to do more trips this summer than I have in the last 4 years...which have been a complete shitshow and I need to make up for it. Just gotta sell more parts. invoiced $10K today, and that's just from the weekend....we'll live.

Accord or Camry. Under 20k miles. Thanks.

If you’re going to spend that kinda $, lease a new one, buy it out at end of lease, then sell it. Will end up about $0 out of pocket over the life of ownership.

I filled up my Excursion today, $2.99/gallon is $1.25 more than it was one year ago.

It's amazing how quickly Biden was able to fuck up just about everything. What's even more amazing is that none of it is his fault. Just ask him, he'll tell you.

I do this every three years. $299 a month zero down in my Chevy volt, three year lease, drive it 117k miles in three years, bought out the lease at the end and sold it for a $1000 loss. Done a few Camrys so far as well. Add up the fuel savings, no repair bills and 117,000 less miles on oir nicer cars and it’s a win.

Same as before except every time I fill up now I say “Let’s go Brandon”

Makes me feel a little better. I sure hope the people who voted for that idiot are happy ! They should pay and additional dollar a gallon just to support deadhead.
I don’t think a President sets the global price of fossil fuels but given your post I thought some data might be interesting to you.

And environmentalists are vey angry about the data although I suspect you and I would approve.

I’m not convinced Biden voters are tooling around in big cars, twin engine boats or burning a bunch of 100LL or jet A. 🤷
Just thought your post should be brought to top. Incredible you have no idea what you posted. At the least it defines your real core.

He may not set the actual price but he absolutely impacted inflation/value of the US dollar. His administrations policies also made the cost of operating a gas station which in turn raised prices. He has done nothing to help. Everything to hurt.

Starting with his first day in office: Dildo Joe launched an attack on all boaters by closing down the Keystone Pipeline, that's how I see it. While seeing all those Trump supporting boat parades it must have hit one of Joe's only functioning brain cells pretty hard. While he was doing the simple math and counting all Biden boat parades on wa wa wa wa one hand. That in itself caused his blood pressure to boil prompting his actions on the pipeline. In a strange way maybe Dildo Joe is doing us longtime boaters a favor by clearing the range by making boating a safer place with less idiots (like himself) on the water, only time will tell. I'm just trying to view the high cost of fuel in a positive way...

At over $1k to fill up the Cig any reasonable person would pick and choose the trips, fuck that it took me to long to get that bad boy, going to use the shit out of it.
Besides multiple trips to Havasu its going to LOTO and Key West this year, and just run around out here in the big blue.

its been capturing my attention. usually we see the difference around .75 and $1.00 between CA and AZ prices. the past couple months have been as much as $1.00 - $1.60 more in CA. dont plan on making any changes in my trips back and forth.

Noticed the last two weekends the amount of people in town and on the water are significantly less than the last two years. Im guessing MDW, 4th, LDW will be very busy and other weekends will be slow.

I think besides todays Brandon Gas Prices a lot of peoples kids are back in school and playing organized sports again after being out for the 2 Year Plandemic when every weekend was like a Holiday Weekend, lol.

I agree a lot of people will only be coming out for the 3 Big Holiday Weekends. We’re going to be leaving a tow vehicle at the house this summer and use the hybrid to commute back and forth from SoCal. At 20 mpg and $6+ dollar gas our SUV would be $200 bucks round trip just to get there & back from OC 😱

We left Havasu at Noon last Sunday. Traffic was the lightest I’ve seen in a long time down the pass. 👍

I've recently driven from Vegas to SD on two different Sundays and the traffic was incredibly light. I was wondering if I just got lucky twice or if the inflation and gas prices were beginning to bite.

Looking forward to the first year of having a boat. Not too worried about the $$$ since it is what we have been working for all of our adult years. I believe that we are fortunate being that we bought in Havasu so not a lot of towing back and forth. We also had a good weekend that just happened and swapped taking boats with friends. Personally I think that my fill-ups when traveling to, from and in CA is much more painful but I can’t not do my job. 👍

I look at oil futures and such and that does not look pretty. See for yourself.

Gas prices nationally are $4.50 now. In Cali now it’s a dollar to dollar fifty more. At My house now regular is $6 and diesel is $6.99.

Just read an article that gas prices will hit a national average of $6 a gallon by the end of summer. That means the average in Cali will be over $7 if that happens. 😭

It’s becoming more of an issue around refining capacity going into the summer. While the big talk in the news is about Russian crude oil bans, Russian refined products(gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, etc) went to 0 as well. The US already was running low on inventories which have been quickly blown through due to Europe screaming for any product we will send them(and paying handsomely for it). Pretty much every refiner has delayed turnarounds to capitalize on the high margins and help in this time of need(both can be true). In summary more oil will come online but it will be bottlenecked by lack of refining capacity.

Also one key note. The vast majority of refiners are along the gulf coast. If major hurricane hits a major refinery, it will not be pretty. Gulf Coast would go to 6-7 bucks, West Coast would go to 10-12.

BTW it was $92 to fill the wife’s car. That was with 40 cents off a gallon with my Ralphs/Kroger club card.

This administration is really screwing the low to middle class people! ALL while saying they are looking out for them!
fuel, energy, grocery, rent - costs have sky rocketed Thanks to Ol Joe!

it’s just like the Ca fuel rebate ( the $400 Bucks ). Instead of doing what the people need and get the money sent out ASAP

Ol Screwsom wants to send out the rebate in October just before the November election!

summer will be over, summer vacation won’t happen, school will be back in session - providing the unions say it’s ok

so all those costs will be made for the average family WITHOUT anything being done to help reduce the cost & tax increases…..

if you are an hourly employee working 40 hr weeks, renting an apartment w/ a kid or kids I don’t know how they can manage to stay afloat

Maybe he/she was feeling nostalgic and wanted to see what it was like to pull up to the pump and look at it for a second and then drive away. lol...

Yes and no idea where. Guessing we will charge in Indio before going up the grade. There are lots of chargers along the way. Long desert stretch has me slightly worried but Parker has a couple spots we can top off if needed. Will let you know. We have the long range but 300 miles is in perfect flat, speed limit, no air or tunes scenario. I won't be doing any of that nonsense.

Wife had the long range, won’t make it. The grades and staying at or below 65 is pretty much dangerous along that route. My wife always stopped in Palm Desert. Hard part is getting home if you don’t have a charger at your house. Not possible to make it back to needles without one.

We made it without issue. Followed Tesla recommended route. Left Vista, 15n-215n-60e-10 and finally through 29 palms where they have a supercharger at some casino. Needed a 10 min top off but did 20min to be really safe. Got to Havasu with 18% charge left. Was awesome not being in the truck. The cool factor of my F250 wore off long ago. Car drove itself most of the way. Thr auto pilot worked great!! Car is charging in my garage on my 30amp 220v dryer plug. Really only drawing 24amp. The charge will take a few more hours but you would be screwed on a 110v charger out here.

Awesome. That is good it worked out.

So if you had just charged the 10 mins, any idea what you would have had left when you got there? 15%? 10%?
