Boat has been in the gel coat shop getting some stress cracks and some chips repaired been almost 3 weeks excited to see the final product! For being a 30 year old boat he said gel was in great shape considering it's age and showed little signs of neglect from previous owners. Multiple different colors are on the boat and all has to be color matched, fingers crossed it turns out awesome. Picking it up tomorrow morning .

No pics of the keel unfortunately, but he said he found a bunch more and that he would fix them all.

So hit a small road block, boat looks awesome did a awesome job on the paint matching but , we decided to go a different approach last minute and he agreed that it would turn out much better to do it this way. He was having a difficult time blending the clear to the old gel he got it super close but Sean said I would notice a clear coat line where he did his repairs, so instead we agreed to remove the old railing system fill the holes and clear the entire top cap. He agreed that it would look a lot more uniform and would have no lines. My detail guy also agreed that would be the way to go in my circumstance and was very confident that he could make the bottom hull shine like the top... So another week and a half and $ but should turn out super nice .

That's awesome. I would love to find my Dad's old Kona.

Yah it’s crazy that I was able to find it. It’s so cool looking at old photos and what my mom and dad went through to go on the lake back in the day.

I love all the new stuff, but in my 60's, getting close to the stuff that was bad to the bone when i was 16 is awesome, just like cars. When i was 16, i couldn't even get on a dock to see anything like this, so now, it's super badass. If i could have any boat i wanted, i'm not sure if it would be a custom DCB, or a completely redone Apache 47 - tough choice !!!!!!

I think the only boat I would give this one up for is an Apache.
