Looking for a Golden puppy or young dog. I really like the English (white) but we are not picky on the color... Does anyone know a repuatble breeder or rescue?

I doubt you're on FB. But there is about 20 GR group pages that you can join. I'm on a couple Aussie Shepard sites that are very helpful.

My buddy just a white lab waited for the litter to hatch and then the 8weeks after the birth cost him $3,000. He got Max in the middle of December.
I haven’t met the new pup yet. He’s a cutie!

Awesome! I found this guy abandoned at a bank repo in the back yard in 2011. Most stubborn dog I have ever met but he’s been really good for the most part. He’s 14-15 now.

Picture of our two creams. Bloodlines on the one in the foreground are English. In the background is Sally who was born in Serbia. Supposedly less inbreading and cancer in the European bloodlines. We've had quite a few Goldens and the creams seem to be the most calm, even more calm than the American Goldens. We bought each

of them when they were around one from breeders that couldn't sell them. GREAT dogs!!!

I believe our neighbor has taken in two goldens from this place, rescue in San Diego.

mcintire mountain goldens. I think they are in/around Arrowhead. Next dog may be a golden for me.

I don't have a breeder for you, but we're on our 2nd golden, with one black lab mix in-between. The lab mix assured us that we would never own any other breed than a golden. They just fit our lifestyle the best. Our current girl is only a couple months older than one of my daughters, they have grown up together. My daughter can use the dog as a step stool to get on the couch. It's pretty entertaining to watch!

I don't know of any breeders. But good ones are hard to come by and hard to get into " their circle". A puppy, a good one is going to run you $2-8k from a breeder. But if you do rescue id recommend Bunnies Buddies out of San Diego, they rescue the dogs from Asia. Sd deal what those dogs have to go through.


Heres my buddy, Charlie. Rescued him at 10 months and now a year and half. Best dogs in the world.

I'm in need of a puppy too, but California prices are absolutely crazy. I have been talking to breeders in TX, OK, MS, areas and have been quite impressed and the prices are more realistic for my budget. Lots of facebook group pages that will help you.

I agree that prices here in CA are pretty high. I'm willing to travel for the right dog/price.

We have Dogue de Bordeaux’s (French Mastiffs). Two of the four were born outside of CA. Sometimes you have to go out of state. Though with how common Goldens are, I’m shocked at the prices I’ve seen on this post!

I know of a rescue/Foster home in Norco and they just got a 3yr old female that is pretty neat!!! She ALMOST came home with me but I already have English Mastiffs ... Pm for the contact info if your interested....She is a real sweetheart.

Look in Colorado also for Goldens.

Goldens are definitely people pleasers. Only surpassed by Newfoundlands. We’ve had both. Our 100# Golden was a 1 yr old Rescue from Ventura County Animal Shelter.
