Okay okay have a old high-school friend of mine who's living in Havasu. She needs a good run reputable Tech to work on her boat.

You mean waste their time....Or not....and pay double what it should be...Pretty much anyone in town but I wouldn’t waste my time with Barrett or absolute.

When I asked @wash11 this question, he told me to use JC Marine. Joel spent his whole life in Havasu. I've had good luck using them.
Yep, JC is more family boat friendly.x2 for JC marine. Good crew there, honest as well.

After getting 'back burnered' by a popular shop, it's hard not to want to let the others know about it. I got the treatment from a popular shop, I like the owner, so it's hard to tell people to avoid him. But, I think others should know what to expect. Paying at the time, $100 an hour for the labor of guys that were likely running leaf blowers a few days prior is a tough pill to swallow. I won't go into details as it won't benefit me, but some shops need to be called out.Just once I’d like to see one of these threads where people can just say which shop they like and why, vs peeing in some shops Cheerios.. lol
there isn’t one shop listed in this thread that I wouldn’t use. All of them have their hero stories and make no mistake all of them have an occasional horror story. Nobodies perfect.

We used Absolute a couple years ago in an emergency. They saved our weekend with a quick turnaround on a drive issue. Went back there this week for annual service. Great customer service and attention to detail. We’ll be back for sure.Absolute is my go too.

Iguana is honest, transparent and had excellent customer service...very quick turn around and great communication. highly suggest giving them a try!I always suggest the newer shops in town. They try hard in the beginning and provide the service we expect.
Once they get slammed like all shops do in that town, the customer service suffers as well and they all want to get the big jobs and forget the little guy that got them there.
