Thought I'd get in a trip to Apache before bringing the new boat back to Havasu for the summer.

Fish Creek Hill pretty much keeps the riff-raff out (or in as the case may be).

Definitely very beautiful, the dirt road keeps most people away.

I love Apache to .Was my favorite AZ lake before I discovered Havasu.

The wife and I feel the same way, we went to Havasu for the first time last year for DS and ended up falling in love with it. We're now actually looking for a summer home there.

Apache... One of the prettiest lakes IMO. The road there is terrible, only down fall to that lake.

Try the road from Roosevelt Dam rather thsn Apache Junction. Then launch from Burnt Corral. Just a couple of miles of an OK dirt road.

Yea, when we got the 26' we started coming in from Roosevelt side and dropping at 3 mile island, and now with the 29' it's a must. Only 2 miles of dirt road but it still takes two days to clean the boat.
