Has anyone been ? Worth it ? About a year ago I read a lot of negative reviews on Yelp / TripAdvisor etc , now they all seem to have disappeared . Back then it was 2 separate fees to enter , a shuttle /entrance fee along with a fee to actually walk on the cantilever lookout . Also no cell phones allowed to take your own pics , they charge $18 per pic or $70 for flash drive ! Sounds like a major wallet flush ...

By the balls with a middle finger up yer ass.
Always wanted to see/experience it but I'm not really fond of a finger in the bung😆
I've also heard it is in the less spectacular part of the canyon.

Wife and I drove out to the visitor center/store, it seemed like a complete tourist trap. Listened to the B.S. and turned around and drove off. You pay for everything, and I don't see any need to support the Skywalk. I can get a better view of the Grand Canyon from other locations for free.

We viewed it from down in the Colorado River back in the day. Gods country inside there.

Their website said the bridge/skywalk was strong enough to hold up 70 fully loaded 747s. I am calling bull on that one. It might be super strong enough, but 70? Did you ever see footage of when a passenger jet runs off the runway? Sinks like a rock on dry soil. 70?

We went a few months ago just because it was cheaper this year. The skywalk isn’t that impressive, it is not on the main part of the Grand Canyon. But right now it is $39 for entrance and shuttle and only $20 to do the skywalk. So if you going you might as well do it. I like Guano point. They shuttle out there and can hike around. It is on the main part of the Grand. There was a cable going across the Grand Canyon from the mine that an Air Force pilot clipped I think in the 60’s. There is also other things out there to see like their dwellings and such. It is worth going..once😁

Built by Indians on a res, not subject to the same building codes as you would find elsewhere. Nope.

Didn't they screw over the contractor that built it also? That alone would prevent me from going...why reward a thief?

Yes he was almost done or just got done and they tried to not pay him, so it went to court and during that process the contractor ended up dying. His wife ended up wining the suit and got a huge payout. i was doing the HVAC install in his 28,000 sq foot house during all this and he didn’t even get to see the house thru to the end.

My wife went years ago. They liked the view but that was about it. She said they wanted money for everything including taking a picture of you with your own camera! They went to the Andy Gumps before leaving and she said they were overflowing. Never again.

We spent a week at Meadview two years back boating that side of Lake Mead. Saw where the Colorado feeds into Mead, old construction relics from when they built it and took the family to Skywalk which is fairly close by.

While the surrounding area is pretty cool, The walk was a total rip off. It is something like 200 feet long and just not that impressive for what it cost. There were 4 of us and the tickets were $320.

The chief is a thief? I’d like to see how River Dave’s would rhyme that one.

I lost the pictures, but I actually got to work on it. 6 of us went and tied the foundations for it. I've never been back, but I did see it from helicopter a couple few years ago.
