From what I’ve read, the driver of the import was drunk and pulled in front of him... RIP C8.

Low performance driver. No way that toyota turd whipped out in front of what amounts to a Super Car doing the speed limit that proper driver skills could not have avoided.

Was same when the Viper came out. 5000 Vipers [ data collected in the Viper registry ] were wrecked and totaled during the few month ownership around total 20000 produced. It was higher at total production wen Viper production ended, Drivers decimated the fleet of Vipers on the street. I tracked my Viper and know how different it behaves when going gong ho with it. This guy had the C-8 boosted with turbos with claimed HP ca 650 to the wheels. Maybe he had traction control turned off and was too hot on the go pedal. IMHO. he should have had the car on a track first to feel the car how it behaves before doing that on the street.

If he can prove that [ camera in a intersection maybe ] since he was to the right of the black car, his insurance should pay himout the get the Vette replaced. No way I would want to get the car repaired and given back to me.

doesnt matter if this guy was driving like Cole Trickle in a rented car. if the other driver was cited for DUI....its all over.

Yep, wouldn't it suck to own a nice car like that which will never be properly repaired. And talk about diminished value...the number must be huge.

Maybe it's just the lighting or angle, but the orange color of the crashed car and the rental in the video above looks fawking terrible IMO. Ugh.
