I know we have a ton of pool builds on here and probably don't need another one, but I want to be able to look back once it's done.

We started this process back in early October and we should start digging Tuesday.

We got a good referral for Mickey of Primo Custom Pools, he came over one evening and we threw our ideas out and went from there. He liked our design, and helped us add a couple of things and delete a couple others that would have been very costly and in a year or two not worth it.

General design is 16X32 rectangle, 6X8 spa, and a baja shelf next to it. We really want Artistic Pavers, but we may end up with regular ones. We know 100% we do not want cool deck or travertine. The fact that we were not forced into these two options made moving forward easy.

I had to cut down the mesquite tree and that's were we're at today

Here's where we're at today after I cut down the tree last week and we have a rough outline on the ground. Utilities company's have been out it looks like everything runs right through the pool. I'm sure this will get interesting before it's finished.

Now for the halfdozen explanation. My wife and I have adopted all 4 of our children, 3 of those were between Oct of 20 and Feb of 21. All of our kids have summer birthdays, we knew when we bought this bigger house last summer that we were going to need a pool.

So, there it is, hope it goes smooth and we can enjoy this summer

Latest update; 6-8 weeks for the underground utilities to be moved. Apparently they will come out and directly pin point where they are buried currently. I guess the first marks that they laid down only have to be within 4 feet. Once exact location is determined, then we can submit plans for how we want them re-routed and as long as that is approved, they will do it.

Really fucked because our finance company wanted the dig to be complete by the 8th, now we have to file for an extension and have credit ran again yada yada yada.....I knew something like this would happen!

Best of luck to you and the rerouting. I know it can be a challenge but in the end it will be all worth it. 👍 A friend’s pool is being plastered this morning as I type this. It has been a challenge for them built they are on the home stretch and loving everything about their new backyard.

Do we have a licensed electrician in Havasu here that is following along and would like to do our house connection once the new lines are pulled?

Long story short, Unisource gave me a verbal to go ahead and dig, find the current conduit, and rough in our reroute then call for inspection. I'm beyond frustrated that we have made zero progress in almost 2 months.

I think I'll post a link in the lounge too

There's a hole in my yard now!

Telephone or cable, not sure. I'll be hand digging this corner looking for power too, it's marked there somewhere!

Start of our propane line

The gray lines are empty, no clue why they are there.

I believe the white is just water for some landscaping. I have to hand dig that corner out, hoping to find our power to splice into.

That's a full story down, and the ground is marked......and the meter is there......

I'm now worried I'll be digging to China!
