I recently purchased this 1993 Hallett from my buddies dad who was the original owner and it only has 170 hrs. It's has a carbureted 454 with a bravo one outdrive. I was wondering if anyone knew how much horsepower this engine is? Also it has the original quicksilver 21p 3 blade prop, and when I took it out I was able to do right at 70 mph. I was thinking about going to a 4 blade but didn't know what pitch to get and was hoping someone on here has had some experience with different props on a 210. Also was wondering if I could go to a aluminum prop cause I run on the lower river around Shaggytree and if I do hit I was thinking the aluminum would give more than a stainless. Thanks Ken

Welcome to RDP! Beautiful boat! This thing looks immaculate! We have a 97 210 with the 7.4 as well. It's got a 4 blade 21p. Great out of the hole and gets on plane immediately. Unfortunately we haven't tried any different props, but I have yet to even hit 60 on GPS. If I am not mistaken, the motor should be roughly around 330hp but I'm sure some of the more seasoned people can give better specifics!

Was that with a gps? Seems like you'd have to turn some serious rpms to get it to 70 with a 21p.

Baby blue is making a comeback. [emoji16][emoji16]

You color blind? It's TEAL. Hahaha. Hallett built a ton of boats using this color in the 90's.

454 mag from then was 330hp I think. Just looked into it could be a 365hp model.

I think a 21-22 4 blade would work good.

70 kph is a little optimistic with the power combo. Probably a solid 65 mph boat propped correctly.

Good looking 210 nice score!!

Good looking boat. That looks like it was in a time capsule. Love the teal.

Boy, I wish my 1996 210S looked that good... It is mine and my wife's first boat ~ and it has the battle scars from being the first (and only boat to this point)... Still looks great from a small distance but... like I said.

Here is some info for you (mine has a "Factory" rebuilt from Hallett but that is another whole story... http://www.riverdavesplace.com/forums/showthread.php?127401-28-Howard-Bullet-or-Hallett-290s-V2D/page2) ...

Good post here, but no need to link a thread of he said she said with your own boat.

You should try a 22p 4 bravo 1 prop. No on the aluminum. Made that mistake with my 454 bravo 1 22 Ultra. Had to be very easy on the throttle or it would just blow out the prop. Left my stainless at home and ruined a weekend.

Aluminum has it's place as a 911 prop or on a 5 hp outboard :D

Nice 210 very clean. I have a 454 385 and I am using a 23 pitch 4 blade. Worked best all around speed and RPM. I am just 200 rpms shy of maxing out and hit 68 to 70 depending on the water conditions. And the speed was GPS. I tried a 22 4 blade but spun to much rpm and a 24 wasn't enough rpm.

So you guys think mine is 360hp or 330hp how would I be able to find out? I know it's hard to believe but it was just me in the boat with a quarter tank of gas and trimmed just right I hit 72 mph on the gps as the mph gauge is the only thing on the boat that's not working

Pull the seriel number and check it. Are you sure the motor is rock stock? I have a 496 ho and that is about where I run on gps.

My Dad and Uncle both have 210's one with a 496HO with headers and one with a 502 mag with an ECM upgrade and headers and they will both run 68-72 spinning a 24p depending on fuel, air temp, water temp, etc. They are identical, in the 8 years of owning them they've lined up together twice and are 1 and 1 with both margins of victory being about 2 feet at the bow either way. We boat in south texas with a lot of humidity vs the west coast but I would think you would need at least 375 ish to get a 210 to an honest 70 out west.

So I'm gonna put this out there. Being on the lower river I'm thinking about selling or trading this boat. I would really like to stay in a hallett 210 but would like a open bow and possibly a jet any interest let me know Ken 602-300-8390

I looked hard at this boat last year when it was for sale, it had super low hours, was priced well, and the original owner was an older gentleman who appeared to take really good care of the boat. The colors just didn't work for me but in hindsight after what I payed for mine, hassling with Horizon Motorsports over poor customer service, fixing all the gel coat scratches, I could have easily changed some of colors on this one and been $$$ ahead w/o the headaches. This boat should move fast, GLWTS :thumbsup
