Started this unit last weekend, met with the family while spraying the deck to kick around some designs for the bottom graphic...but forgot to take any pics.:(
The deck is straight forward typical Hallett and customers opted for no graphic on deck top.

The bottom is clean, simple and should be timeless.
Spit gray base.

What junkie said:)

Saw that sheet of notes to the lam/wood crew.
What power are you running in this beast?

Running a Mercury racing 600sci. Will have the ITS attachment to a Mercury racing bravo surface drive. Boat should run close to 90mph

Does anyone have a similar set up?

Here's how it looks today. image.jpg

They're cutting that bulkhead to fit along with the rest. Then the deck and hull are joined in the mold along with the bulkheads.
The boat comes out of the mold solid and fits perfect every time.

This is out of the mold,no buffing yet.
Better the shine of the mold the better the shine of the part that comes from it. image.jpg

Larry, do you know when the boat will be moved to the showroom building? Wanted to know when we can come see it.

Hey Gelcoater ! Thanks for posting these pictures of boats being built , I still am baffled how a boat is built from the mold out .
I certainly wouldn't be offended if you did a small tutorial from the beginning of the build ...

That's going to be a very nice boat rchelm! Looking forward to seeing the final pics.. I'm not sure I have ever seen a closed bow 255? I'm pretty sure that has the same bottom as the 240 as well? I'm interested to know how hard it actually runs with that 600.

Thanks!
And yes, I believe the 255 bottom is a copy of the old 240 bottom. Jerry said it should run in the 85-90 mph range depending on prop.

Very cool boat congrats!!

Love the power package in the 255

Are you going to add external steering? (I can't tell if the drive has it integrated)

This Hallett turned out really nice!! Congratulations!

(What's the status on the Apache in the background? Saw it with motors and looked like it was coming along.)

Thank you sir! I believe they are just doing some gel coat work on that one, I was talking to Jerry about it earlier.

Boat looks great...love how clean the transom is. The integrated steering makes it so much cleaner than the after marker hydraulic steering! Enjoy!!!

I thought they were going to do a test and post it? I'm curious how it ran with all the adjustments they had to make to fit the engine. Does anyone know how it ran? 90 I'm guessing.

In the picture you can see the black hole in the middle to adjust to the size of the supercharger, they made it fit in a very clean way.

Boat ran great! Have had it in arrowhead all summer. With the 24 prop we hit 80 on the nose, with the 28 prop we exceeded 90mph. And no, the ski boom is locked in place.

Right on! Thank you for replying!

Updates?
What kind of numbers are you seeing?
What prop you running?

Boat is still running strong!! Still running the bravo prop, it suits our needs best. Its a good mix of low end, top end, and out of the hole for skiing.Taking the boat out to mead this weekend for some ski race training. We will definitely have more space to top it out!!
