I've had a Spectra jet for a long time and I am looking for a project V-drive. I found this boat, for $1500 being sold as a '73 Hallet circle boat. I think its worth the money but I think it to be late '60's not a '73. Any input would be great!

I think that the boat has the ability to turn circles but highly doubt that it was a circle race boat as is being intimated.

Parallel Hallcraft V-drive not popular in racing circles

Non adjustable cav plates (no turnbuckles)

Thru transom exhaust

Center Deck

Would be a cool project, not dissing the boat just hoping that you're not wanting to make this a 100+ mph deal.....nice ski boat!

Since I already have the Spectra for use as a ski boat... I was looking for a fast hull that wouldn't break the bank.. Any pointers on what I should be looking for?

x2

Could be wrong but... It looks more like a 60's era to me. You could prolly find a decent Hondo or above mentioned project for 2-3k (less motor) and already have some decent rigging in it, which would save you bigtime$$$ rather than a full re-rig project.

cool old boat though... :thumbsup

That's a lot of money for the project, and it's Halletts "Family Flatbottom" of the time... not really a race boat.
