It's funny when people say stuff like this...

Generally, the blue people don't leave CA, they have worked hard to make it what it is!

Red people leave, cause they can't take it anymore.

So who is Really changing the politics outside of CA?

🤔

So Austin, Phoenix, etc have just organically gone blue?

Nah, you talk to people in each red or previously red state and it’s, “Screw these people leaving CA and NY, coming to our red state and voting blue.”

It’s the idiots who can’t realize that their politics are the reason for cost of living increases. So they leave to buy an affordable home… and vote the same way.

Generally that’s true. However one thing that drives blue people to red states is when companies move and bring there socialist employees with them. You see this a lot in states like Texas where there is zero income taxes.

This is very true. Some I believe do it to spread the blue disease. Others don't realize or care that they are the reason their state is fucked up. Either way they are a pestilence that is spreading like locusts.

Makes sense. Cause no real red voter would move to a state with no off-roading allowed!

Happy New Year All,

After my trip to Florida it has the family talking about how shitty CA has become and we should get out within a few years, the question is where to go? Don’t like rain or snow, love the boating life…

Key west had me at warm water and 80° In December.

If I sell my shack in CA for $1m I could buy a place in Havasu and maybe Florida? Spend the super humid months in Havasu and rent out the rest of the year?

Any other city's or states that check the boxes?
Have priced homes at both locations? 1mil isn’t going yo get far with home at both locations.

"What's a transplant?" Tate asks.

"It's a person who moves to a place, and then they try to make that place just like the place they left," Kayce says.

"That don't make sense," Tate says.

"Not one bit," Kayce says

While there may not be income tax, but Texas loves other kinds...property, and sales tax are both high to make up the difference of not having income tax.

I just sold my house in Murrieta, CA last week along with the rest of my shit. packed up and recently closed on a place outside of Charleston, South Carolina. I’m actually on my way out there now. Finally had enough, left a good job and most of my family. Born and raised in So Cal, It’s just not the same anymore, there will be no opportunity left for my kids that doesn’t involve them living with me until they are 30. The politics, traffic and the people,
Im done!

I will be out of Murrieta no later than Apr 2022. Bought my first house in Murrieta in 1997.
Its just not the same place.
Traffic, rude peace of shit drivers, have infected murrieta. I was literally almost sideswiped by an asshole on Clinton Kieth this pm.
Near Stater brothers. Dumb shit is in the left turn lane with left blinker on, changes his mind, and punchs it to go across both lanes to make a right… Stupid fucker in almost brand new silver 4runner.

When I honked my horn at the dumb shit. He is ready to road rage… Not joking…
The only reason I am not in jail right now. My daughter was with me.

I am sick and fucking tired of being surrounded by stupid.
So its far better for me to exit this state, or I will be sleeping on concrete benchs again.

Something in my sole loves to beat the shit out of dumb fucks. So its better for me to get as far away from stupid as I can.

Combine this shit on a daily basis, with no law enforcement.. fuck Ca… I am outta here

What frightened them?

I just went down the rabbit hole on zillow on smith lake. Some great places!
the real true reason I haven't gotten it out of him yet.... his wife was physically sick to her stomach from the issues they encountered..... He had been bitching about how bad california was for sooo long I thought regardless of the 1st place being a shit hole house, they would continue to look.... nope.
they got out of that deal by paying just $2500. then once they came home they had to get out of the sale of their current house to the tune of just
$1000............. I'm waiting for some one-on-one time to ask him why they bailed. we're all a red-state of mind....... he's even got his CCW since
they live in Red Bluff....... I like the Tyler Texas area, but would really like to live on Smith Lake....... huge lake, looks clean, home/land prices are
reasonable, and it just looked like a fun adventure......... maybe someday!

My corner of NorCal used to be as red as the blood in my arms.
Then, about 25 years ago, the exodus from the bay area and LA began.
Mostly retired and retiring Haight Ashbury types at first, they grew a little weed. Whatever.
They told their friends. The business boomed. The left came in droves.
My family connections go back to the late 60's here, I remember when the nearest Big Mac was 31 miles to the west, when the biggest lumber yard in town closed for opening weekend of deer season, and if you didn't have a cardlock account you better have fueled up by 8pm.
People bringing their LA attitudes with them. They also brought their kids, who were a damn mess, and figured some fresh air will fix them. Hell no you created these little assholes in your likeness. Those kids didn't change, they just started their own game here.
I know, I arrested them.
Yep, we had our own internal problems, but the left leaning urban dwellers are what ruined this place for me. I can still tell when a flatlander moves in, they can't drive on two lane country roads, and they are askeered of the dark. They put up enough megawatt outdoor lighting that what used to be a night sky looks like a damn city.
We knew we were in trouble when we started getting "someone is screaming in the woods" calls for flipping PEACOCKS at night.
I wanted to leave 15 years ago, but had to wait. Now we are outta here this year.
I am fleeing what ruined my paradise, and you can be damn sure it won't be me or folks like me who ruin the next one. I have never voted for a liberal in my life, and never will. People who assume everyone leaving California are flaming leftists are simply wrong.

Hey Jefftowz....

I have spent a ton of time where we are going, in winter summer spring and fall. If I didn't know exactly where I wanted to be I would tkae some time and get in the car or truck and look around. If our grandkids were not here and we did not want to be able to come back and see them without having to fly we would take a long look at Tennessee too. I have close friends north of Knoxville, have been there and we love it.
I also love eastern Idaho. You gotta get it in yer head that the weather is going to be different. We get 4 seasons up here, and will be retired pretty much. I will be caring for my mom, who will be living with us, (she is 90) for a year at a crack then my sister will fly out and cover us for 3 months. Once retired you can always snowbird to someplace for a few months.
For us we look at all the costs of living (ain't rich) and we don't want a place where I am a slave to the property (had that here) Do a lot of thinking, and see for yourself the places that interest you.

Any chance you can rent your current residence before committing to planting roots full time somewhere else?
Sort of a 'fall back plan' in case you guys aren't happy in your new digs.
Had some friends of mine recently move from So Cal to Washington . . . biggest mistake was they bought the place sight-unseen and never even visited there (yeah total stupid attack). She loved it, he HATED it . . . turns out they got a divorce because she refused to move back to So Cal.
I have a buddy who moved from Burbank to Bradenton FLA (Near Sarasota). . . he & his wife love it.
I'd love to have a 'river pad', but not sure I could commit to a full move with 5 months of being in an oven.
Good Luck in You ventures.

This. We rented ours for 2 years. Now we are Florida and Tennessee. We are happy.

So for those moving cross country what are the moving options to the east coast? Carolinas, Tennessee or Kentucky? Cost? Timing? Don't think I want to drive so shipping a truck and a boat?

This is wisdom, Try before you buy is always sound.
We did this. Been going to Havasu for years but living is different from vacationing. Had my niece/husband move into CA house. Gave them a chance to save for their own house and gave a try full time in Havasu. After 2 years, they bought their own place and we sold the CA house

This is the year.
Bought a place in Las Vegas 2 1/2 years ago and the flu hit. Long term, it worked out fine. Got it rehabbed, learned a bunch about LV, and it may or may not be our final home there.
Appreciation covered all our costs and will give us a good return if we decide to sell.

This is exactly our situation . Picked up and moved and bought right away in Henderson . This should work just fine for the next 10 to 15 years no problem . Definitely not going back !

CA elections have been stolen for years, there just getting more blantant about it, as the theifs have more people in power, judges, city hall, state govt, secetary of state, state attorney general, etc to cover for their ass.

Media covers their ass too, look at the polls the news pushes in advance of an election. There all total BS to get the idiots to buy that their guy won. Look at the utter suprise the Dems had in the PE of 2016 or all of the siginaling Newsom was going to win on the recall. Or them calling 2018, CA govenor for Newsom with John Cox in the lead and only 17% of the votes in or how they called 2020 CA PE for Lieden in 8 minutes after the polls closed BUT they had videos of private citizens collecting ballots from those huge yellow & white "official" ballot drop boxes 3 days AFTER the election was called.

The propaganda on the main stream news is so heavy in Phoenix they're just blantly trying to hipnotize all the idiots. V town news is the same way not nowhere near as bad as Phoenix. So they commit their crimes and and tell the sheep what to think on he TV ALL DAY LONG. It's in all the news ( national & local) and it's in all the shows, NCIS, SWAT, etc is always pushing some political slant if you pay attention. Shows about "white supremists" that hang an American and have clandestine meetings are the "bad guys".

The Matrix is all around you Neo, the question is are you seeing it? Or do you even know your in it?

I'm happy for all of you who have escaped like we did >3 ½ years ago.

And to those of you who are looking to exit, I wish you the best and hope you can do it sooner than later. We talk about what how much better it would've been if we left years earlier.

Had to hire a moving company and ship the wife’s 4Runner. UHaul along with other are not allowing moving equipment to leave the state. Not enough equipment coming in and to much going out one way.

Yeh

I like that area along with Washington and Hurricane too. Boating on Powell wouldn't be bad either
Guy I worked with retired and moved to Washington a few years back. He said Mead & Powell are both approx 90/120 minutes away depending how heavy your foot is, lol. The only issue is the prices in that region of Utah have gone insane the last few years. Not sure I could retire there now 😱

Hmm, might want to re-think this:
