Moved to the Phoenix valley in June and we are finally going to make our first trip to Havasu later this week. Plan to stay Thursday and Friday nights but looking for something with a water view. How is the London Bridge Inn? Looks good online and we want to Uber around the area checking out Havasu’s best watering holes. Any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated!

You might consider the Hampton Inn or the new Holiday Inn Express also.

Those are either just north on the channel, across the the channel, or in the case of the Nautical, just outside the channel on the island. All have water view available.. I think;)

Are these along the River/lake?

So is it a river or a lake? Or both?

Heat, Nautical and London bridge are on the lake. Here’s a pic of the Heat and pic from the room.

First Lake Havasu is a wide spot in the river, so yea it's kind of both. The Holiday Express is Right Next to the London Bridge, but out by the high way. The Hampton is up the road a couple blocks and a little ways away from the action. The Express is new and the Hampton completely remodeled so probably have a little nicer rooms. Both should have lake view rooms available.

Havasu is a Lake. You can take it up the Colorado river as far as Laughlin.

You may want to check out kingsview condos, most owners rent thru VRBO or Airbnb. Cheaper than london bridge, nicer rooms, and on the water views in the channel if you get a waterfront unit. Check out this unit - there is a few others that are waterfront as well.

Kings view condos would be good idea. Stayed there a couple of times and the units were very nice and a great location.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for the Havasu boat show. It's a nice hotel. We just walked across the bridge to dinner. The parking lot is a bit tight for trailers though. They allow them but there isn't much room for them.

Thanks for the tips. We made a reservation for Thursday and Friday nights at the Holiday Inn Express.

Any recommendations for a couple middle age beer drinkers to enjoy themselves in the evening? Probably need some dinner too.

@69 1/2 is your screen name a Mopar reference? If it is, you have good taste in cars.

For breakfast we always enjoyed eating at Makai...lower level of the mall where Shagrues is located, overlooking the Channel. Just a thought.

It'll feel that way when he's visiting in January!! LOL

Have you been there in the winter? There are more people there now than in the summer...driving down the 95 will test your patience.

Thanks guys, we’re leaving PHX in a few minutes and looking forward to visiting. I grew up boating the Mississippi River and have traveled it St Louis to Minneapolis owning everything from a go-fast to a sedan bridge. I’ve always been curious to live in the Southwest.

If anyone wants to grab a beer Thursday or Friday, throw a post on here, We’ll be checking in.

Busses by the Bridge is this weekend. Windsor 4. 600+ VW vans and some really cool folks. Stroll around and talk to people from all over. Good contact high too. Good band at Fugs (35 beers on tap) Friday night.
