Think there will be any deals this year on 2019 heavy duty gas trucks since the 2020 models will be released later this year? I’m thinking about a new GM 2500 6.0 gas or Ford 250 6.2 gas. I’ve got two older trucks and might get rid of both and treat myself to a new truck if the deals are there. Anybody else planning on doing the same?

I seem to get better deals when I go in the last day of the fiscal quarter.
Purchased my Jeep 9/29/14 and it had a MFG date of 11/13 with dealer delivery of 01/09/14. Used that to my advantage. Yukon was purchased 06/30 and F350 was done on May 29.
All end of month/quarter when numbers needed to be made.

Did a 2500hd gasser last year, love the truck. Bought new in san diego for 35.5k. LT model, 2wd, nav, locking diff in 410 gears

They just lowered the price of MSRP $4500. I was debating ordering one from Jason at Selman.

I’m in this situation. The Fords and chevy’s are allot more expensive than Ram so I have been leaning that way it also has the most power for gas 3/4tons.

last day of month is the best, most stores have unit bonuses from owner/management or manufacturer

Agreed, most of these guys are trying to make their numbers at the end of the month. Also if you wait for the new model year to start showing up on the lot, they will want to get rid of the previous ASAP

The thing to remember, is you don't need the truck. But they NEED you to buy the truck. So when they make you the lowest deal, get up and leave. They will call you!

Out of the current offerings from the big 3 in 3/4 ton gassers, I'd lean heavy towards Ram.

I’m seeing 47k for a 4wd crew cab 6.0? Is that right? Wholly shit that’s expensive.

He said if I ordered one better price. But yes almost went with 1 last year it was $45K. So with price drop $40,500.

Nothing cheap about them. I know a few that jumped ship to Dodge 2500s as they were 10k cheaper. I stick to what works and has made me the most money not cost me the most "ford".

My dodge has been the best vehicle purchase I’ve ever made. It’s never been to the dealer, it just turned a 100k miles, it pulls hard every day. It’s a manual trans, and they de tuned the stick trucks to 640 pounds feet. I think that’s part of why it’s been so reliable. That and no slush box. This truck and I will go to the grave together. Her name is little Pete.

I seem to get the best deals towards the end of August or September when a new model or revision is due out. Only problem is the selection is not always that great if you are looking for a specific combination.

Limited selection is what I’m concerned about but if the price is right...

I know you are talking HD trucks. I just "looked" at the Tundra today. They don't offer anything bigger than 5.5' bed in the crew cab!!!! Told the salesman to pound sand, bye.

They are missing the boat not having a frame that will take an 8ft bed with CC.

Or at least a 6.5’ bed.

I have been loooking At 2500. Since the end of 2016 til
End of 2018. They are hugely popular. And have not found a dealer willing to deal I have not found a good price. Tried contacting certain dealers. Even selman. Tried. Costco. AAA. Truecar. When dealers. Contacted me from the online services the prices didn’t match. YMMV

Ram 6.4L hemi is the best heavy duty gasser currently. 86k miles on mine
I have a 2500hd with a flatbed for work it has 228k without one issue. It's a 6.0 gasser we just change oil trucks get driven hard at times. One of our others hit 200k no issues either. Might not be the most powerful engine but they go the distance. My 05 had 335k before it expired.

Because he probably knows someone who waited for a 6.0 ...
What a huge mistake that was on 03 F350. If our Ford salesmen Pat Purcell would of not insisted on the new better 6.0 could of had a truck that held its value and lasted like a diesel is supposed to. Huge $$$$ mistake!
