Laugh out loud there buddy.
I have also traveled all over Europe, Asia and South America. The Europeans live a decent life no doubt but that’s were the comparison to Americans ends. In America, an average middle class family will have 2-3 cars (between husband and wife) and some toys like a boat, motorcycle, 4 wheeler, etc. and maybe even a 2nd house or cabin somewhere. When the kids turn 16-17 and learn how to drive they usually get a decent used car and then they are mobile. In Europe, middle class homes are significantly smaller and there is only one car for the family and no toys. Gasoline is super expensive so only necessary travel by car is done. The average European couldn’t dream of owning a boat and burning up fuel driving across the lake.
A night out with a full meal for Europeans is a special event. Yes they do spend time in bars and cafes but money is not spent like Americans do.
So stop with the bullshit that they have it as good or better than we do and Bernie is only going to make things better for the middle class. Bernie will sink the middle class, especially the upper end of it. Don’t just take my word for it, ask none other than Joe Biden who has admitted more than once that the middle class got hosed under his and obama’s administration. And, that was bernie light. Very light actually.

I can agree with everything you said above EXCEPT the part about an "Average Middle Class Family". The family you described is not even close to average.

The median household income in the USA is just over $60K. You don't buy a house, support a family, and fill the garage with toys on that. The reality is that the bottom half of our population is not living the American dream. There are studies that say over 70% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Over 500,000 Americans filed bankruptcy last year due to medical expenses. Nearly half of American households cant cover a $500 emergency expense.

One in Five children in the USA live in poverty...

I agree wholeheartedly that the bullshit should stop, lets begin by pulling our collective heads out of our asses and start caring about actual Americans instead of the myth that is America.

>If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
>If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat. If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
>If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.
>If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.
>If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and Jesus silenced.
>If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.
>If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh. A liberal will delete it because he's "offended."

I do more than my share of the above... Also realize that $$$ and time are much more effectively spent trying to change the system we have into one that gets better results for more people.

Of course you do more than your share, people like you always do. The system we have works pretty well or did somebody else go get your education for you. So do you think underachievers deserve to get equal pay along with your supposed high paying job. The fact is the people that do the most crying are the lazy asses who don’t want to get out and earn it.

I’ve had my own business for 40 years I’ve literally had hundreds of employees come through here I don’t think you have anything to tell me about people and their work habits.

Come to America and be everything you can be but if you’re too successful the Democrats will demonize you .

Let me get this straight, the hard-working people should pay for the Americans that are irresponsible. If you can’t afford a bunch of kids then keep your dick in your pants. Some people don’t earn much money because they’re just shitty workers. If you don’t make enough money then get a part-time job as well. If you need more money and the boss offers you overtime then take it, don’t give the excuses you’re busy.

Have you been to CA or seen what has happened with the super majority? Democrats have no ability to say no to any spending or tax. Recalibrate you democrat machine thinking.

Have you seen the record growth in federal spending over the last couple years and the massive tax increases on the working middle class via tariffs? They are growing spending even faster than the liberal supermajority in California. Republicans under Trump have no ability to say no to any spending or tax. Recalibrate your Trumpkin machine thinking...........

See your signature, but since you asked, go ahead and explain to us how you want to start with helping Americans while at the same time promoting open boarders and an ever increasing burden on our healthcare system.

Socialism and corruption: Joined at the hip in south Florida

Article:

Bernie Sanders has said the American dream is more likely to be realized in socialist Venezuela than the United States.

Maybe he'd like to explain this version of the American dream found in a massive money-laundering operation by Venezuelan Chavistas who've been busted for looting their country in order to retire in mansions and condos on Miami Beach.

According to the Miami Herald:

The business elites are suspected of paying hefty bribes to the government officials in exchange for making loans in bolivars to the national oil company, Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A., and then receiving repayments in dollars — with the proceeds washed through the government's favorable currency-exchange system to magnify profits. The multibillion-dollar payouts were then diverted to secret Swiss bank accounts between 2012 and 2014, according to U.S. authorities.

"The operation, carried out thanks to acts of corruption, would have allowed the embezzlement of more than $4.5 billion, laundered mainly through accounts opened in Switzerland," the Swiss Federal Tribunal wrote in a January order rejecting appeals seeking to stop the release of the bank records.

The hellhole poverty, loss of freedom, and flight of millions are often brought up as the inevitable side-effects of modern socialism (as if firing squads, gulags, and expropriation were too much), but here's a fourth thing: corruption. Massive, massive, corruption, corruption that would make an African dictator like Sese Seko Mobutu blush. We saw it as the mask fell off the Soviet Union and among the princelings of China's elites. Socialism = corruption.

Simple...

I reject the premise that Democrats promote open borders. Opposition to a wall that is little more than an expensive political stunt is not promoting an open border. As far as their burden on our healtcare system I will of course agree that an extra 10M people are indeed a burden. I would also like to point out that 10M out of 330M is... wait a minute... Divide by Pi, carry the 7... Three Percent. Now three percent is not trivial but it is also not the 40% that we can save if we brought our costs inline with other developed nations.

I can state with 100% conviction that when you have good insurance in the USA you get absolute great care. If you don't have insurance you don't. In Canada you can get 99% as good care but will have to wait in a priority Que.

So yes please continue to tell me what I don't know...

Talk to your China lords, you have to spend money to make money.

Do you have to call people names? While calling someone a name like Trumpkin may make you feel better for having major inadequate fellings/thoughts/body parts it does nothing for advancing conversation.

Canada is great... I would have no problems living there at all.

But the question you are asking is nonsensical. You are basically saying to me "If things are so tough why dont you run away from them?" Well I have faced a few tough things in my life and made it through them, I see no reason to change that tactic now.

Prove it!

Bernie's immigration policy is not simply against a wall and that's why I don't get into discussions with your ilk. He would aim to expand immigration courts and make temporary shelter for migrants more humane. Sanders would also create a $14 billion federal grant program for legal defense for the needy immigrants.

I agree with you 100% you have faced a few tough things in your life, like being bludgeoned on River Dave’s place. You are definitely one tough individual, seems like everybody is mopping up the floor with you but you keep getting back up. I do respect you, you definitely take your beating like a man. You write so eloquently, but I must admit you really make me laugh.

Biff, you've brought your Mom's death up before. And a couple times denied it as an issue when I inquired about this tragic event. It's your business and I am sincerely sorry you and her, had to experience it. I think it stays with you and needs to be addressed seriously with counseling. Maybe you already have and it's just that hard to do.

Whatever the case, I know it's personal and I'll not mention it again, but please get that professional help, as I think it eats at you in some form. You're a good guy and your family needs you in top form.

OT, Thanks for the thoughts and comments. No counseling necessary for this one.

I bring this up when talking health care differences between the USA and Canada as it’s a stunning example of the differences. My mom always worked in small business, was an independent contractor, or worked for a family member. ( Health care administration... Go figure) I don’t believe she had health insurance coverage a day in her life... She mentioned things related to her cancer for years but never went to get checked out. It’s incredibly common for people with no health coverage to not get any routine screens/testing/etc. By the time her physical condition forced her to get looked at the cancer was too far advanced to fight with any real chance of success.

Contrast this with that horribly inferior Canadian system that the MIL was under. Her routine yearly screening detected suspect tissue... A biopsy was conducted the same day and she was in surgery a very short time later. ( That was18+ years ago.)

This is not some internet tale where a friend knows somebody in Canada who couldn’t get an MRI when they sprained and ankle... These are two people in my family who were going through similar things at the same time with drastically different results.

squeeze, don't try sugar coating the Canadian healthcare system ;) . I had my fare share of bad service too since 1971 I lived here in BC. Shortages of beds, medical equipment, over stressed ER [ have friends working in the system could tell you stories ] workers always a huge issue. Doctors left years ago to the US for better pay and benefits. Hospital like Burnaby General relied on the likes of actor Michael Fox donating money to finally getting a MRI machine there. I could only get a CT scan for my back injury, waiting three months for that too in 1989. I live in Penticton now where we just got a MRI machine two years ago, thanks for local millionaire who donated to, also had an extension built with ER heli pad on top of the building. The average house income in Canada is still way low compared to the cost of living, hence majority of people live pay check to paycheck and in debt.
If ever we experience a down turn similar to 1974- 76, or 1982, a lot of people will be hurting, loosing their homes. If you have a family member coming down with illness like dementia, you only have two choices, you throw your loved ones in a lousy care home or, spend 4 to 5 thousand dollars per month to get decent care for them. I have several friends who had that experience. 5 thousand dollars is more than what the average workers take home a month here, and it can bankrupt a family, unless they have a home to sell and support the family member. Many, including Bernie says how great social health care in Europe, My wife's mom got dementia in England years ago. We had to sell her home in Burgess Hill to pay for the care home my wife picked for her that had decent service and care. The cost of her care was 4,500 pounds a month. All the proceeds from the sale of her house got exhausted before her death about six months later, before the government takes over the cost of care. My wife was searching for quite some time to get her a nice place to have. She was seeing horrible places they were only marginally cheaper.

Opposition to a wall that is little more than an expensive political stunt is not promoting an open border.
So how much time do you or have you spent on the border? Or do you just make these dumb decrees from your shithole Portland perch with no clue what goes on down here?
I live here. I saw and still live with what the wall and/or fence did for the problems we had down here. You don't know what the fuck you are talking about son.
I was born and raised on the border. We have two ranchs along the border. One in Bisbee and one in Canelo Hills AZ.
This is my cousin Johnny.
He runs our San Jose ranch that has been in our family for well over a century.
You going to tell him/us it's all a fucking "political stunt" the bullshit we have to endure because of fucking clueless morons like you armed with a vote?
You going to tell me I'm imagining the shit I see every fucking day on this border?
YOU are the idiot on the internet in your sig line that spews bullshit.
Come on down city boy, see how real men live with the bullshit you and your fucking demoncraps put on us all.
Anytime son anytime.
In the mean time, go guzzle a gallon of STFU🖕

Bernie is not some radical leftist. When compared to every other industrialized nation his positions represent a moderate center position. If you disagree with that go ahead and list a single policy position that Bernie supports that is not already in place in: Canada/Germany/France/Finland/Belguim/Sweden/Norway/Japan/etc/etc.

The only thing radical here is that somehow the right is convinced Americans are too stupid to successfully implement changes that improve the baseline standard of living.
That's just it, we're not like other countries and that's what makes us great and why everyone wants to come here. Sanders is an extreme radical that should have his own party.

He spends time on the California/Oregon border. In his and other liberal minds, California is still Mexico, and ipso facto he knows what it’s like to say a border wall is useless. He also leaves his car unlocked, his front door wide open and let’s his dog run without a leash. Lastly, he leaves his phone on the front sidewalk thinking no one will pick it up and walk away, since he also does not have a password lock on his phone since that is an electronic wall. He’s pure.

You forgot that he has no border wall between himself and his neighbor. Squeezer may be the only hope America has he probably can solve the worlds problems all while sitting in his arm chair.

Great post & video, I thought your cousin did a great job presenting the "facts" about what is going on down on the border. Kinda sets things straight, separates the "facts" from the fiction & on top of it all, an open invitation to bring ones ass down to see it all in person, f......g outstanding! More peeps need to see & hear this video.....at least our liberal counterparts who can read & write & have a "little" common sense.

Me... Personaly... Nothing. I do however see a road ahead for my kids that is treacherous compared to the one I went down.

Specialy if your kids have to grow up in a country, that you strive for . Utopia. where everything is supposely free,
No more liberty , freedom and the pursuit of happiness.

Each generation should do better then the last.
This counrty provides you with all the tools, to be successful . It's your job as a parent , to show them tools.......
