WELCOME TO RIVER DAVES PLACE

Hey LAM! A 911 on 9-11 or should I say a 992 at 52?

So I've been wanting something for cruising the neighborhood. I was thinking a Hellcat, but the interior didnt do anything for me. then I thought maybe I should buy a '34 Ford hot-rod, but I figured I didn't want anything else to wrench on. I took a test drive in this on Friday. Holy shit balls when you put this thing in Sport-plus mode! Bonus is there's no way for me to work on it, everything is accessed from underneath. Pop the engine hood, only to be able to add coolant or engine oil thats it. Handles like its on rails and flat hauls ass, 65 to 110 happens in a blink. I feel like a kid who just stole candy from the candy store. I still waiting for the dealership to ask for it back when they realize I dont own a pair of loafers or driving gloves, I'm more of a boot and t-shirt guy.

Congrat! Get it out on a track if you want to really drive it. I drove my Porsche on a number of California tracks - some of the best fun I've ever had in a car

Have you driven the course in Gardena Off the 405. Watched them grading and lay out on my drive home from work each day

No I have not. Porsche had a deal a while back that you could pay to drive any of their cars on that track. The prices varied by model, obviously a base 911 was considerably less then say a "turbo' to take a couple of laps in. I want to say prices started at 3 or $400
I have a feeling had I taken that offer I would have bought this much sooner.

Sweet ride! They drive like no other.
I just sold my 997 Turbo S w/PDK. Gonna miss it, but boat money so not all lost.
