I have been looking at this exact model and Floorplan. Everyone says Thor is junk, so I am really curious to hear your thoughts on this unit.

SO HERES THE STORY... bout a year ago I bought a new 2021 palazzo.... well, didn't do my home work... palazzo has a queen bed... after a couple trips... no way... I need a king... the palazzo has the 300hp, aria 360hp... the palazzo a 2200 trans, the aria 3000 trans the palazzo 26,500 gvw the aria 32,500 the palazzo GCCW 32,500 the aria is 42,500.. so the aria will pull 10,000 plus more lbs.. the palazzo came with 27,000 btu ac and the aria 30,000 w// heat pumps.... palazzzo has 255-70-22.5 tires.... the aria..235-80-22.5's...palazo 2 slides... the aria 3 slides... but, the king tilt view in aria is the real deal... no more cramped up and pulling the covers back and forth....

Please, keep this thread posted on any upgrades you do to this coach. I will be following along. I would interested if and when you decide to sell.

not much to do to this one, already has big tires, 360 hp w/800 tq... palazzo is about 50k cheeper, but for 50 you get alot of stuff that really make it nicer to travel

My Thor Venetian has been awesome, always hear they are junk. Just use due diligence when you buy.

Sweet!
Whats it weigh empty or how much can it tow?
probley weighs about 22,000 lbs... so that leaves 20,000 cargo and tow... the hitch is 10 k and it will tow all of that with 10k left for the cargo on the coach

whats the hp???? somethings not right with your coach.... like I said if you would not have bought it I would have....but... those have a gvwr of 28,000 plus 10 towing cap...so 38,500 gccwr... but something was upgraded because they came with a 300 hp 660tq chassis... but those have little 255-70-22.5's seems like you have the bigger chassis

what hp??? and have you weighed it... but no matter it will tow 10k... to be spot on... your coacccch fully loaded needs to be under 28,500 full loaded... a 10k trailer is gonna pu about a 1000 on the coach... but triple axel it will be less...

gccwr is 38,000... so fully loaded towing a loaded trailer you need to be at 38,000 lbs... a quick trip out to loves and you know for sure..

so basicly they both will tow the 10k the hitch is rated at... thats not always true... but again, towing capasity is just a math problem that stats with weighing the coach..

I have the 360/800 motor in my 7k pound 3/4 truck. No way I would want that in my 30k pound rv. That seems like a lot of weight for that motor. I have pulled 20k plus (gvw of 27k) and it was all she had to pull hills and never hit 6th gear.

Nice coach Steve and I dig RD’s set up with the bunks.

I'm with you on that... that's been my complaint for years.. they put little truck motors in big rv's But I was re schooled... I told a guy that and he schooled me,... said i got it backwards... he said they put big rv motors in little trucks now,... said you can watch videos all day where little trucks pulling 20k lbs fifth wheelers start whippin and flip the truck off the road.... my palazo has the 300hp 660tq 6.7.. going to kanab from vegas there's some pretty good grades, knowing that my rig has brakes for 32,000 lb gcwr, plus engine and trans brake make me more comfortable.. yeah it slows down up the grades.. but we're talking only adding a few minutes of travel time, that and the last trip was @ 11.2 mpg... even though I was at the full 32k lbs made it there and back with ease,.. never over heated the motor or trans... just what I prefer, to be able to use the 23k lbs of the tow rig.. as in able to use the bathroom, fridge, and pull over and take a nap if wanted..

the aria has a gcwr of 42,500lbs... thats 10 more k than the palazzo... I figure loaded going down the road I'm gonna be at the same scale weight , but, instead of being at max,.. i'll be at 10k under the gcwr of 42,500 lbs,.. I'll have disc brakes instead of drum, bigger tires, more hp and tq... and the needed king size bed..

my max rv size is 35' to fit in my yard... things have changed @ 70 yr old compaired to 40... no hurry to get there, and now get to stay longer so comfortable makes a bigger differance... I started with a 22' class c and had 2 kids... now i need 34' for my wife and I.. LOL...

this is why I chose the aria over the super C,... the super c has almost the same floor plan... bout 2' shorter....but it's 40' long... so over 5' longer than the aria
then you have the noise of the front motor and the loss of tq with the 30' long drive shaft,... and the ride is horrible compared to the Aria.....they're cheeper... but look cool...

Well I have a 24 enclosed right now with an extended tongue.. I usually haul a sxs (4 seater) and 2 quads..

I want to step up to a 28’ or 30’ enclosed triple axle l.. part of the reason I wanted a new motorhome is I wasn’t sure mine could pull it? Albeit pulling the 24’ you don’t even know it’s back there in terms of weight.

Wel that and we want another half bath.

My old motorhome had a heat pump. Worked great.

He must have went to a holiday inn salesman class!

ISB 6.7s are for one ton trucks not 40' motor homes, its just about the price point, IMO of course

L9s or DD13s for the win

Knock on wood my L-9 400hp has been awesome in my 40' coach. I believe mine is set at 1250 torque to if I remember right.

I whissh what you are saying was true, as of now the 6.7 360hp/800tq is the biggest power you can buy in a 34' coach.... and that was the reason I called the 34'alpine with the l9, 800 hp the HOLY GRAIL.... as of now the 34' ARIA claims that title... nobody sells a 34'r with the same or more power.... in fact, for me this one is the only I could find at any price point, most all have gas V10's.... one would think that you could never have too much power, but after watching videos of those little pick ups getting filpped off the road maybe thats true.... problem I see is they don't sell common sense to match the power... I hate to say this, but..some people just need more laws to keep them and those around them safe... even with the 300 hp... you will get there, and use less fuel than a gas 34'r... my draw the line is 30'.... under 30' go gas motor... over 30' go diesel pusher.... they tried to make 32' DP's but never could get them to handle right so they made the FRED's .. front engine diesels.... the price point made them not able to compete... so they didn't sell good...that and those that did buy took a bath on resale.. I think a 34'r 6.7 360hp FRED would be the ticket for me if they put the alisen 3000 trans.... tiffin makes the breese 33'r ... but it has the little nav star motor... horrible handling cramper that is super high priced..... the first ones they filled concrete in the front to stop the bounce... weight distribution gets way off with the motor in the back of a short WB coach

anyway,... here's the challenge ... find a 34' and under coach with a bigger than 6.7 diesel engine...... I know that new smog laws will prohibit, but you could tune aa whole lot more power than 360 hp out of that motor... long as the radiator would keep it cool...

That right there is the biggest thing when you start talking bigger power. If you can't cool it going up a hill, you can't really use it. what's the use of having it.

I agree with everything you said, its unfortunate that the market has not pushed harder for sub 34' with big power. Shit dodge puts 700hp in passenger cars all day long!!

My hopes are pinned on dynamax moving the europa 31SS or the 32KD floor plans up to the Dynaquest XL line for the L9 450/1250 and a 3200, probably not in my useable future un fortunately:(
