I couldn't find the thread of " whats the smallest boat ya ever skied behind " ( or something like that )............here's what that boat I told ya about us "kids" learned behind at Elsinore circa 1954 looked like, I remember the wood ribs, ....our Dad's had built a Glenn L kit boat an when we'd go out like EVERY weekend, the grownups would put Pop Hughes's boat on top of one of the cars, throw that badass Johnson 12 horse motor in the trunk an we wouldn't come off the water till dark !!....................our Dad's were THE BEST !!

That "ski" looks like my 1st surfboard, it really was a redwood "log" .....that thing had at LEAST 4 inch rails and God knows HOW many layers of cloth & resin, AND, it had a steel skag, not a fin, I'm talking a REAL skag with about 8 or 10 , 2 1/2 / 3 inch screws holding it down !........funny thing about that board, I NEVER had anybody cut me off outta the wave , they'd all get outta the way, that thing would's / could'a done some damage !
