Hidden Bimini?

Looking to redo the interior this offseason and have seen hidden biminis on some of the newer boats.

They look really slick, how hard is it to add one to and older boat? Possible?

Depends on your engine hatch setup and how much room you have to the motor. What boat? Pics? Especially if the front of the hatch area?

Current and last both had them and i absolutely love it.
Has to be mounted inside the boat instead of on top of the boat.

Our 230 cobra has a hidden Bimini. I like it because it’s there if I want it but it’s out of the way and hidden

25 Daytona. The motor pretty much sits on the back of the seat so not much room to fit much more in there. But if I’m redoing the interior maybe we can move things around a bit.

Cobra 260 Razor, hidden bimini has been a standard feature since 2004. It sure made things quik and eazy when you want shade.

Mine is on a hook on the garage wall. Only put it on when it looks like a monsoon might show up. If I had a hideaway and didn’t get in the way I would keep it on the boat.

Here’s a few pics of ours and where it is mounted. We love having it out of the way when down. When we had the interior re-done we had DCB put small blocks on the rear of the backseat to keep it off the supercharger.

This. I like mine, but it does mean you may have to settle for a smaller bimini or not the optimal placement due to geometry. Overall it is a win though.

So I have the waaay opposite of a hidden bimini. Mines an always up bimini. I've only put it down once trailering to lake Powell. Towed it from havasu to Katherine's with the bimini up no problem.

Me too..... took it down once because I took the boat to the channel for the Christmas Boat parade... I was on the beach and didn't want to block the views for others... Solved that by entering the boat parade, it's been up all the time for YEARS.. RV garage storage so I have no need to take it down. Skin Cancer sucks...so it's up.

I want to do mine when I redo the interior for the 2nd time this year. But my bench and hatch will need to be modified because my motor is right behind the bench.

Once you go with the hide away Bimini, you'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner.
