And boat manufacturers are changing design and production as fast as they can to capitalize on the new outboards.

Going to need to use thicker gauge aluminum on the new pontoon boats.
Last summer I did some work on a newer whizbang toon. I believe it had twin 350's. Having never really been. Around one before, the mounting was one of the things I looked at. The rear plate was a billet aluminum piece, probably 5/8" to 3/4" thick. I wonder how much stronger stuff will have to be, between the power of the motor, and just holding it up.
