Anyone else home alone today?

We celebrated Christmas yesterday as a small family. My wife was off yesterday, and so we had her daughter at the house for Christmas. Her dad picked her up last night, and my wife has to work today.

Debating if I want to go to the Casino for lunch or something, kind of a weird Christmas this year.

Yep. Single this year, and have no family. It’s actually kind of relaxing not having to deal with the rat race. Bar opens in less than an hour, I’ll head there.

First time in 14 years the whole family is home at Christmas.
They don’t get outta bed until 2 so had a few drinks at the Gin Mill.

Supposed to be a storm rolling in any minute.

Going to service the X3 the Garage.

Sort of...wife and kid are curled up on the couch sick and grumpy. We cancelled the nice dinner we were going have a bunch of people over for. I'm sitting in the garage drinking rum and cokes looking around at the disorganization (still have not figured out a workable layout and where to put everything since moving in a year ago) and trying to figure out where to start and what to change...

me too. As we watched it last night. Lol. We had Christmas early with our Daughter, and packed the rest of the day. Different year for sure.

Yep..been that way for years and I prefer it. Had a semi fancy dinner with friends last night. Got home early, been under the weather for 3-4 days, chugged some nyquil and was out by 9. Managed to sleep until 4 am until I started hacking again. Watched boat racing on you tube, fell back asleep until 1, made a frozen pizza and had a bottle of Chimay lol and was a turd on the couch until the kid got home, made popcorn and watched a movie.

Kept it small again too I've kind of been hating this time of year. The longer it's been since my dad has passed has made it worse for me.

Just seems whatever you do doesn't feel like enough to myself.
