Ok so we just got our house painted with the "hot" colors down here in the Dirty South. Now I need to paint all of the damn stamped concrete that has been installed. This includes the dock, back porch around the pool, garage, driveway and front walk. I'm thinking a very light sandy color with a dark maroon border. All of the exterior doors is a rust color and the landscaping is red lava rock. The gray house is honestly throwing me.

I would give painting the concrete some serious thought. Once you do it, you’ll be re-doing it every few years. It doesn’t last very long, and is a maintenance nightmare.

Don’t paint. Clean it good and roll on a clear sealer. It will bring the color back

You guys are going to be selling and moving back west, right? If so pressure wash it good and find someone to do a concrete stain, it will seal it and look good for a couple years at least.

As others have said - I would not paint concrete...

This is the stuff I use - you can mix it to be darker or lighter as needed. It will fade a little over time but it’s easy to reapply - water based / very easy to use.

I have not reapplied for a few years and really need to reapply again but here is a pic of the driveway that has had a light grey tone applied. Sorry the pic is in the sun and doesn’t show as well as real life.

The curved concrete accents are White concrete with white pebbles and black concrete with black pebbles to give you an idea of the contrast. Lastly this driveway was acid washed before the color applied.

You have to remember Florida is at least 10 years behind on EVERYTHING. So down here it is the hot color right now. Lots of new fancy house with this color scheme.

Not really but I have to do something. The oil based stain has faded so bad that there is no color left on the driveway, barely any on the front porch and the back dock. I didn't want gray because I think that will look to industrial like a warehouse. Hence the reason why I am asking people that build houses and or rehabilitate.

The house is being sold so it's just to dress it back up

You're gonna sell so you want something easy and cheap. The concrete has already been stained so it won't take a new color very well.

So paint makes sense. But regular latex is just going to peel when it gets wet a few times. I know some of you guy will laugh but check out Behr heavy bodied stains. I use them on fencing and decks all the time. It produces a solid color, but it doesn't peel like regular paint does.

They make it for concrete as well. As with most coatings, the key to a good job is in the prep!

Thanks for the tip, now to pick a color. So far I am 0 for 2 for picking the right color combo on this house.
