I drove by the Long beach river camps a few times today and i see R-19 freon bottles everywhere. First question is where do they get it from? Second question is what are they doing with it? I'm guessing maybe huffing it or something .

"Inhaling Freon produces a high that is similar to what is felt from drinking alcohol, and doing so can freeze the lungs or cause brain damage.
It can also prove fatal, Morris warned, citing several recent examples, including a teenager in Oklahoma who died in November.
"He was still in the yard next to the unit," Morris said of that death. "So it is a one-time thing. You do it and it could kill you."
Californian Jacob Henry, 18, died in September after huffing Freon.
"Huffing is a game of Russian roulette," his mother Gail told Los Angeles' KABC last fall. "Don't ever consider doing it because that five seconds of high that you get when you do it, it isn't worth dying over."

Hand this shit out like candy!

Or something like this

Either way, who knows what they are doing with it. Maybe huffing, maybe recycling for cash. Maybe just hoarding.

They sell it for $125 # in Parker when you get it added to system. Ask me how I know. $75 service fee and $300 to add a little Freon.

Homeless doing illegal drugs? No way. Newsom says they're all outstanding citizens just fallen on hard times... and needles.
They are doing good, never seen so many nice bikes in one place.

Now we know where the climate change is coming from, it's the homeless and morons releasing freon into the environment.

They may be fishing it out for scrap metal? Whe. I did commercial refrigeration service it wasn't un-common to have to add 400#'s of refrigerant from 25 to 30# jugs (capacity depends on refrigerant type). We charge it up, suck the bottle empty, punch a hole in the emegergency relief and the. Toss them in the dumpster. Just scrap steel at that point.

One would think letting thousands of cans of freon into the atmosphere would be a huge environmental/CARB issue but what do I know.

Not a problem if you’re trying to get high with nothing to lose, only a problem if you’re a tax payer trying to make a buck with everything to lose.

Seems to be the way this entire country is headed.
