We will have a video up of the show either late this week or early next week. Here are the pics I took while walking around the show!

This is the cleanest Spectra 20 I have ever seen. The gel looks like it came off the showroom today. Interesting it has a fixed cav plate on a 20. If the trailer was cleaned up a little this thing would be my pick of the show.

This thing would make anyone feel young again.. Good lord. The answer to how much hp is too much has finally been answered. In a gull wing this thing has to be stupid fast.

I loved the fiberglass cover behind the seats.

Another pretty bad ass dually. I’m not into the patina look.. and this one had it, but to some this is the cats pajamas.

If I had a drag flat in the garage this is about what it would look like. Everything about this boat reminds me of my youth.

This is K5 the boat that crashed in the AM. You can see it was a slow speed roll over as the boat for the most part is unscathed. From talking to the guys in the tent when it flipped over his chute got tangled up in the steering column and you can see a little evidence of a stress crack.

From what everyone was saying at the show Scott is banged up but going to be ok.

The kids were fascinated by this boat.. they kept asking if they would sit backwards by the motor.. lol.

we talked about it for quite awhile, and I got to share with them a pretty cool story about their grandfather.

My old man had a shovel nose hydro and way back then you either had thru transom or zoomies. He decided he wanted over the transom exhaust so he designed them, went and had the tooling made and made them. He ended up selling that tooling off to nicson. So they got a kick out of grandpa having some affect on the boating industry with regard to being the first with over the transom exhaust. The original exhausts came together towards the center of the boat if I remember right. I’d have to go drag the pics out of my moms house.

While it was impressive to them I had to tell them it was probably the smallest contribution he made in his life compared to all the other stuff he did. He didn’t even tell me about it until I was in my mid 20’s and happened to run across pictures of the tooling.

My buddy Tom restored that for his wife. I had never seen one before either.. it’s a 2 seat mini with a 700cc wet bike motor in it.
I can get more pics and details if ya want.

If you have them, great!

Looks like a great show. Nice mix between trailer queens that spend their lives getting rubbed with a diaper, and boats that get used properly (And a few which happen to be both!).

Hobbit was best of show. Hell you could look at just the trailer for 20 minutes.
That black and lace Hondo was excellent and most people didn’t really notice it. Best paint was that green clown jet boat.
Most people barely notice the black 50 Chevy on the entrance road. Very subtle but flawless.

This is a 21 Brummett.. very few were built, but you can see the attention to detail on this boat is ridiculous. Doesn’t matter when they are built if you build them like this they are timeless!!

This boat is for sale FYI and Paul from Outdrive1 has it listed.

I didn’t like that clown boat at all.. not saying the quality wasn’t there but that is way outside of my flavor.. lol. Different strokes for different folks

I agree. The 50 Chevy was right next to that 48? Green Ford you liked. Most didn’t notice that either.

My buddy Tom brought down the infamous Tommy Bahama boat! I need to redo the rdp on the back of it to match the Tommy Bahama logo better in color. This boat has a ton of history

There was a candy apple red truck on the way in that caught my attention. I didn’t get everything on the phone, we were shooting a lot of video

This is the hero of the day.. He’s the one that pulled Scott out of the water. His boat is called a “FRO?” Said it’s one of three ever made and the only one on the water. I personally have never heard of it but it looked like it ran ok after he put it in the water.

We were there Friday afternoon and again Saturday and man there was some nice hardware. That Hobbit boat is so over the top nice it would make me nervous to allow people around it. Seemed like EVERY piece on that boat was custom and shiny. Everything under the Steele canopy was badass. Hope that Scott heals quickly.
