I'm Craig B over there too, member 149. Art (Lakeracer) is member number 9.

I remember that unmoderated site and was on went it went to the current message board format. The Superboat threads...that Jennifer(?) chick who took herself out, that was pretty sad.

I was on OSO (Baja Fresh) in March of '03. Joined SCOPE then too so knew Jeffrey and Jenifer (Wasabi).

OSO went through it's share of drama with Troutly, Fred Cecil, and a bunch of others. What was the name of that tool that said he was an x-NFL guy and had a bunch of boats and cars but was nothing?

I was Sea Shift at the old Hotboat pay site, but switched to Phebus shortly thereafter. Have that name now on all the sites that I am a member.

Good call, a few beers and slurred speech and you could easily become Sea Shit :)

Saw shit a lot in those days, but the name came from the fact that I was a fireman on "C" shift and had a side business named Sea Shift Construction.

Yup, pay then free. I think it started a little earlier though, 98 or 99.

I know I found AZHB in early 99 and that started my involvement with the Jim, Art and the other original poker run crew.

In getting old you are right I use to read the limited free stuff joined in April 2000 under a different name no clue what that was but never posted a word. then finally broke down in April 2001 and changed my name and post whoring became my new job

I paid in 2001, very early 2001 as Froggystyle... I think it was Jan, pre-boat show.

I was on OSO back then too, same name.

I believe in Jun 2001 is when I registered and it wasn't a pay site then?

I seem to recall being on the site when they announced that they were going to pay to play. I knew then that that plan wouldn't work for long with all the new sites that were popping up around that time.

I started viewing boat sites in the 90s. I lived in Oregon then and with the short summers there, I had to get my boating fix somehow.

Joined sometime about 2001 or 2002 as Old Lavey when I had my 87 Lavey 21'. I vaguely remember paying and getting a subscription, a shirt, and a sticker in the mail? Does that sound right?

Good memory on the Ultra but I never actually took that name. I think it was suggested in a thread I started when I bought my 24 Stealth and was looking for a new screen name...I miss that boat:grumble:
