Start'em young! Custom Hot Rod Wagon.

My son Cash got a surprise present from Grandpa for his 1st Birthday.

Grandpa gave me the build pics, I will document it here.

I have to paraphrase on the details because I had no idea that this was being built.

I just turned 37 in Oct. we have been talking about a wagon for more than 20+years. I had a radio flyer as a kid, and desperately wanted to modify it, either low rider, or drop a Briggs/Stratton in it and make it a go-kart. This has been a long time coming. We were regulars at the Pomona Swap Meet and never had the cool wagon for hauling me or my brother or parts.

Cash's started as a real Radio Flyer.

Wheel Tubs:
Cut up a stock pot; cut the wagon to fit the tubs.

Setting the Stance:
Got to have the right rake, and nose in the weeds.

Final Hat Trick:

He built a carrier that fits into the trailer hitch. So that we can haul it without taking up all space in the back of the car. There is a lock, to pad lock the wagon to the carrier. The carrier is secured obviously with the locked hitch pin. Nice Touch. OH, and also comes with custom wall mount for the garage, so that it can be stored on end and save floor space. Very Nice Touch.

Looks good. I like the tubbed bed. Haven't seen that before.
First thing that I saw and thought it was bad ass!!! I gotta get going so that I can have a fleet of toys for our son. We he needs to find that special someone to pump out a kid or two first. LOL But I can start putting things together for them. 👍

Update. We got to take the wagon for a test drive at the Del Mar Good Guys Nationals. Such an amazing day.

Super special for me, because I got to take my son to his first car show. It was surreal because my dad had always taken me, and my brother to car shows since we were little like Cash. So to be the dad now was very special. Even more special to have Grandpa there to share in the moment.

The crowd was just over the top seeing Cash riding in his wagon. "Check out that cool dude in his wagon" "That is bad ass!" "Best stroller I have ever seen!" So many compliments and thumbs ups! The OG car guys love'd it.

We hit up the Pomona Swapmeet last weekend. First time back in years! So great to see this event packed and thriving.

It was alot of fun taking Cash's Wagon to the Motherland! It fit right in with the other customs being pulled around. We got to pay homage to some Radio Flyer relics.

I picked up a rearview mirror for the Camaro, and grandpa got some new floor mats.
