I’ve always wanted a Bassett….missed-out on one in Bullhead last fall…. One day I’ll have a stinky, loud, drooler …. This is my neighbor’s bloodhound ‘Clyde’ ….

My wife keeps begging me for a blood or coon hound. We’ve had 3 Weimaraners now which have blood hound in them from when they developed the breed.

Maybe later in life when things slow down a bit.

Best dog I ever had was my rescue Red Bone Coon with a bit of Lab in him. He had a distinct howl, but not much drool. Loved to swim and chase racoon families which got his ass kicked a few times. About a year and a half since he passed of old age. Loved that dog!

Hounds are amazing. Growing up we had 3 Beagles and they were the best of friends to my brother and I. Best family dogs. I want a bloodhound bad right now but they may be too much maint. As they do drool and are big.

Had a beagle as my first dog when I moved out. She was the best damn dog but holy shit was she stubborn 🤣
Ended up living to almost 17 and had to put her down for kidney failure - she definitely had a good run!

Lab -Blood Hound mix have a great temperament. I wish I could find another one like this little girl. 110 pounds of coyote chasing bad ass. Gone almost 7 years now.😢

That was cool ! My neighbor takes Clyde to the local high school on the weekends to exercise, his wife will go ahead of time in a separate car and go hide somewhere on the track, football, or baseball fields . . . he gets there and says 'Go find Mom' . . . and he puts his nose down and every time he finds her. It's amazing how good they can smell and track.

A good friend of mine just got her son a red bone, they named him Diesel. He’s pretty cool. My dad had coon dogs when I was s a kid. We had a saddleback walker named Jack and a Black and Tan named Jake. Jake was better at treeing coons than Jack but Jack was an awesome dog too. I had a lot of fun with those dogs as a kid running around in the woods at night!

We picked up a foster about a year ago and adopted him…treeing walker coon hound, red bone coon hound, and some other stuff mixed in. He’s a bit of a nut, but a great dog. He thinks he’s a lap dog. He’ll punch you in the nuts if you don’t throw his toy. He is the most vocal animal I’ve ever seen…all kinds of different voices, all the time.

Loves kids…or…loves knocking them over lol.

Chases everything from shadows to raccoons.
