What's the cheapest in town these days? If they are low enough..........just maybe I'll be back.

Pretty Cheap. I'm hoping to be down in the low 200s if they have gotten there. I don't make as much money as I used to. :(

check www.wardexre.com 3/2/3 with that size garage is still about 250k (or so) at the low end. a few more in the 270k range. Still on the sidelines looking for that "one time good steal".

I believe that within the next 3-6 months prices will continue to come down even further up there and you will be able to get into a decent newer house with a deep garage for 180-220K. Not big, maybe 3 rooms and 1200-1400 ft. I have seen medium priced houses up there come down 50-75K during the last year and the market indicates that further price drops will probably happen. I hope I am in a position to make an offer when the right place comes along also....

i agree you for the most part. i have been lurking and just watching the prices come down. my brother is a real estate agent with 10+ years experience and he keeps telling me to wait for about another 6 months to 1 year. when i see it barely make it's shift upwards, that's when i will jump all over it. even though i want one now, i have been waiting for a while, so i think a few more months shouldn't hurt.

Just out of curiosity, what did you pay originally for your house and how long were you in it?

I bought the house for $239,000 brand new and had it for 15 months. Saw the market turn and bailed. The whole keeping it for two years thing I threw out the window and thank goodness I did.
