What most of you guys may not know is that author Jean Shepherd had a radio show and was an amazing live storyteller.

Growing up in the Chicago /Northern Indiana area - Shep talked about stuff and places we all knew or affected us.
We listened to them as kids lots of reruns, but even live with no scripts the guy could spin an original entertaining story.

You can go find some of his storys online and they basically national treasures.

Yes.
Growing up we had cassette tapes of him narrating some of stories and of his shows.
A favorite is "Wanda Hickey's Night of Golden Memories; and other disasters".
The man had the gift of story telling.
