Does it have Caltrax or ladder bars out back, spooled or limited slip?

Not blowing of the tires will be the key. Unknown BBC makes it a crapshoot too. If it's a peanut port, run of the mill motor, with 3.55's, 14.2-14.5 maybe?

Of course, that all goes to shit if it is just sticky enough to wrap and wheel hop.

1/8th?...I'm out. I've never run a dedicated 1/8th...I know the 3.55's will hurt you though.

Has china crap speedmaster heads, 4150, and looks like intake work.

Dual or single plane?
No name single. Motor is not how i would spec it, bought it non running, and made it make noise. 4" open element is how it is running now, caddy air cleaner is for style.

The valve covers should be good for an extra 50hp

What is your prediction? What is your goal or what would be a satisfying time?

What i was hoping for, and calculations online have been thrown WAY out the window. I originally wanted a 6.xx timeslip, and will need a bottle rocket up my ass to make that happen!

New goal is survive the week, and improve every day. Already discovered that 3500 rpm is to low to launch the car, and 4500 is to high. Also HAVE to shift into 3rd... 2nd gear turns LOTS of rpm thru the lights!

Turned on the turn signal while running my slowest pass yet...

Starting race day 2 of 4. Have 2 separate tracks today, South Carolina Motorplex in the AM, and the House of Hook tonight.
A result of a hard shift jarring the column maybe?🤔

Still have 2 days to go, but have to slow down now to hit my dial in...

Best pass 8.684 at 81.84mph
20241108_131918.jpg

2nd best 8.697@ 82.44
20241108_194246.jpg

First day, had to pick a dial in time for my class, and chose 8.800 based off of this pass 8.7916 at 78mph

No question there is more there, haven't played with timing at all, just been trying to stay consistent with my launch and shifting. No real need to push harder, it's already faster than needed!

It looks like @Bajastu nailed it! What size shirt do you wear, I'll send you something cool.

You need to worry about that 567 and 773, before your dial in😉
When are you leaving?

RT isn't a factor, so I'm making 100% sure the RPM is where it should be before unleashing hell.
Pro Tree isnt helping either

RT is 100% a factor, if both of you run your dial and his RT is better he wins. Are you running a pro tree or a bracket tree? A pro tree all 3 ambers light up at the same time

@Crazyhippy , what psi are your tires at, and have you staggered the pressure any? That can help with your wheelspin, and how it reacts between gears when the chassis unloads.

All for pro-tree racing! It was the closest to street stuff. Those dropping Amber's I sucked at 🤣

Its listed... but pro tree.

And the race is a week long average. Who you line up against is irrelevant. That said, we're next to each other, we're racing!!! Unless you win, then i lifted because it hooked up too hard. RT is not factored into any of it, red's are allowed, and up to 2 seconds is ok.

Running 15lbs in both tires, bias plys, and they wrinkle up nicely! Tried 18, and it spun bad! 2nd is a.lil.chirp, but nothing bad

Sorry, missed it. Pro trees are tricky, when you see the yellow it's time to go
