So I'm putting together this 16ft speed boat and were using a 115 evinrude what do you guy think top speed will be? boat weighs 400 lbs

If everything is set up well, you should see 55 or 60, if it really only weighs 400 lbs.

What kind of boat? Is that a crossflow v4 or looper? What prop?

A Hydrostream Viper might be able to do 65 to 70, but my 17' aluminum boat would probably do low 40's.

On my vector a big ear chopper gave me nearly 10 on top compared to my yamaha lake use prop...but being pretty sluggish out of the hole was the trade off.
