I got really sick, the whites of my eyes turned yellow, because my liver was shutting down, it was kind of scary, I got some really bad shakes too, and it was the second time in a year that it happened, so I made the decision to quit, and I wasn't drinking for the right reasons either, I was sinking into depression over my job, and just wasn't having fun anymore. its been a positive change, and im saving myself money, and hopefully my life lol!

Our situations are very similar, when I prep to fly out the party stops till I'm back so several months on/off. One of the hardest things for a fisherman, money in the bank and a large chunk of time, it ruins quite a few people. I live on a small lake where there is a gathering every night in the summer in some ones back yard. I have to pace myself there is pretty much something going on every night from bar hopping on the ocean or on the chopper.

At home I'm not drinking as much unless I'm mowing the lawn. Ride on mower, so its nice to sit back and drink a beer while mowing the lawn. I had two beers at dinner with my parents.

Here on weekends the police set up DUI check points and randomly pull over cars leaving bars. So two beers out is my limit.

I was a big JD drinker until the same thing happened to me...this Oct 1, I will be 2 years with nothing to drink, surprisingly, I don’t miss it !

Depends on what you mean by drink. I love the taste of alcohol and had a beer with my steak last night. If that counts 4-5 times a week. If you are talking drinking to the point I am not driving but 100% functioning maybe 2-3 time a month. Now drunk, I can't even remember the last time I was drunk.
