My dad was a private pilot. He'd still be flying, but can't pass the medical for his license. So he sold his planes. My older brother had his private pilots license before his drivers license. Long way of saying. When we were old enough to reach the controls, my dad had us take flying lessons. I didn't bother getting the license, now wish I did. Anyway, his reasoning was if something happened to him with us in the plane, we could have the skills to land safely.

A landing is a controlled crash, the question is will you walk away to fly another day. 😎👌

Same here same reason. Could fly, use radio, maps, land, take off at 13-14 years old.

Late 60's when I took flying lessons & soloed. Lost two years wearing green and never continued thereafter. When I flew, steering while taxiing, was done with your feet, not with the wheel.
Has that changed or was he just spoofing in the video ?

The flying part is easy, it's the take off and landing that difficult. LOL

Takeoffs are pretty easy too. Landing after which you can still use the airplane are the tricky part.

Learn to fly in the link below.

Just remember that altitude above you and runway behind you are the 2 most useless things to a pilot.

An instructor told me to never forget this 30 years ago......and he was exactly correct.
